Authentic Mexican Street Food (at least the tacos I always get) and many other homemade meals. Never had a bad dish. The Mexican Street Corn is Off the Chain as well. I absolutely love this place and eat here at least 2-3 times a week. If you want Great Mexican Food, you won't want to miss this place.

The breast with the trifongo, rice and beans tastes heavenly. "DELICIOUS"
100% RECOMMENDED
I still haven't eaten a trifongo more delicious than the one they make.
(Very good to go with the family ?)

Restaurant Review: El Rey de la Paisa (Visit on Sunday, September 8, 2024)
Overall, this was a disappointing experience. While the staff's treatment was acceptable, my concerns about the food quality were met with a dismissive response, simply stating that other customers enjoyed it.
I ordered the Bandeja Paisa, which was, unfortunately, the worst I’ve ever had. The portion of meat was way over cooked, almost burned and tiny, and the chicharrón tasted old, as if it had been left out of the fridge for hours. The arepa was hard and cold, and both the rice and beans were bland and tasteless.
In addition, I ordered the Pechuga Encebollada, but it resembled a Sudado de Pollo, with onions and tomatoes. The chicken tasted stale, as if it had been sitting out for an extended period.
We also ordered passion fruit juice, but it tasted artificial, more like a diluted agua fresca than real juice.
Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. While I considered giving them a second chance, the staff's indifferent attitude has convinced me otherwise.

A little hole in the wall place near the big lots. Loved the food as it was very authentic to what Miami had to offer for me growing up. Had the Columbian empanadas and they were delish. Son had the masas de puerco and were also quite good. The bistec empanizado was the best around. Both red and black beans were great as well. Rice was a bit dried out but nothing horrible. Definitely will go back
