If you’re looking for a BBQ place in the area Ellie Lou’s BBQ is your spot. The team is warm, welcoming, and attentive and the owner will sometimes come and help out. The exceptional service makes your meal even more enjoyable.
They are specifically noteworthy for their ribs and sausage in my opinion and are the primary staples of our meals there. Their brisket is good too, definitely good for the area and DEFINITIVELY better than the place that has a refers to a number of flowing bodies of water (that place went downhill don't go there), but I've been to Texas so I am forever colored by that experience. Their sides, fantastic. Mac and cheese as well as the baked beans are the staple alongside the potato salad if it's your style of potato salad (somewhat German).
So whether you’re a BBQ connoisseur or just craving something real and satisfying that's not a chain in the area, Ellie Lou’s BBQ is the kind of place you won't regret visiting.
I had the pulled pork with fries. Very tasty! The fries were perfectly seasoned/salted. Missing something in atmosphere though...The food was great (which is more important) so I will be back!
Was a wonderful experience. The staff was so nice and made the experience even better. The owners were so nice and pleasant. My granddaughter really enjoyed herself. When in Orlando again, my family will be back. Best Barbecue in Orlando. Visited from Jacksonville. Highly recommended 👌 P.S. Happy 2yr Anniversary to you again ❤️
Service was top notch but sadly that's all the good I have. Food was lackluster, cornbread tasted like it was stored in a balloon and the meat was incredibly dry.
I'll start by saying the location is super convenient if you are on your way onto or off of Disney Property. We stopped in on our way to EPCOT and were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly and attentive, and the food was great. Originally, we planned to get our meals to go and eat in the park, but we decided to dine in instead to keep things simple and we’re glad we did.
It happened to be their 2 year anniversary, which they kindly mentioned and even gave us a discount for, which was a nice touch. We ordered two sandwich meals and a kids meal. The portions were generous and definitely felt fair for the price. All around, a great experience!
Our favorite bbq. Great service. Great food. Reasonable prices.
Still coming back for more. Our favorite bbq place.
Yall!!! Hands down the best BBQ I’ve ever had! And THEN the Red Velvet Cake. I’ve never had a better red velvet cake than my grandmothers but this one did it!
Favorite BBQ in Orlando. Got to meet the owner as well, great guy!
Ellie Lou’s is a must stop for the BBQ lover in Disney. The owner is fantastic and the food is delicious!
We had the best experience. We searched for a nearby barbecue place and luckily the first one was closed on Sunday. The next was Ellie Lou’s. We loved it! The food was great and the service was beyond compare! Elisha greeted us when we first walked in and when I asked what to get, it was automatically Sunday grits! They let me have a taste and boy were they delicious! My husband and I each ordered the two meat combo. I had the turkey and brisket with green beans and grits for my sides. The hubs had the barbecue beans and Mac and cheese with the pork and turkey. Every single thing was delicious. We got to meet Ellie herself and she was as gracious as can be. I can’t recommend Ellie Lou’s enough. And the prices were great as well. If you’re in the area, stop by Ellie’s, you won’t be disappointed.

It was empty when we arrived. Some of the dining area has food on the floor. Service was great at the counter where we ordered. Food was okay. Cheese on the nachos was cold. Ribs were dry and leathery. Pulled pork was good.

I came here after work very excited to eat something that reminded me of home, I didn't want to cook it myself but left underwhelmed. I saw the place was packed which is usually a good sign. It took a while to get my food, which is fine, I don't mind waiting for good food, but the brisket and pork were both moist and dry(another review stated that). The staff was very friendly, and I overheard them stating the heat lamp was too hot and needed to be turned down(hope they turned it down); they had double gloves on. I feel like my food was not under the lamp for long to dry out, as they handed it to me personally after the long wait. The mac and cheese was very basic compared to what was described, and the collard greens were under-season. Once I added my seasoning it was better. The corn muffins were the best part of my meal. I really wanted this to be great based on the other many good reviews but this was just my first experience.
