I have eaten at Schack's for years! I was a regular for lunch when I had a business- took a lot of clients there. Now that I am retired, I do not get out as often; when I want a good meal, quick, great service, and a friendly environment- always Schack's!

They cater our work breakfast, scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon and sausage along with biscuits and gravy. Food is always great. If you need catering give them a call.

The restaurant is a run-down place that has definitely seen better days. I had the chicken and ribs which were not good. The chicken was over baked and completely dried out. The ribs had an ok texture but were flavorless without dumping some of the cheap tasting sauce on it. The only ok thing was the coleslaw. After a lousy, but not cheap meal, we left without getting a dessert, since we assumed it would be just as bad. They need to fire the cook they had that night.

Everything was horrible except the sweet tea. Potatoes are fake instant potato flakes, Mac n cheese didn’t taste like cheese at all, it was oily noodles. Fries were burnt and had no salt, bbq beans tasted like canned hot dog chili, bbq pulled pork looked like dog food. A side comes in a size cup meant to hold salad dressing and costs $3.65? I couldn’t get the waitresses attention ever because most of the time there wasn’t a single one in the dining area the entire meal. I almost left before they even took our order ( I wish I had) because they took sooo long to get to us and there were only two other tables seated in the restaurant, so it wasn’t like they were busy! I truly think this was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. In the end I paid $45 for fake food that I was literally holding back from vomiting up the entire ride home.

This down falls:: 1. In need of a remodel ( dirty tile floors and Gas station Bathrooms 2. Double the price of similar restaurants in the area. The bill for two people for lunch was 27 bucks. This place has small portions of food. The pork sandwich is nothing more than chopped ham from Winn-Dixie. It’s not real barbecue. The baked beans were straight from can. The french fries have been under a hot lamp for hours you can tell. The portion size for the sides was only 2 ounces per cup. Very small. 3. This restaurant should buy stock and bounty towels. Everywhere you look from the silverware to the bathroom to the table. There was bounty towels. Cheap ones…. for 27 bucks I expect napkins. 4. The staff was friendly.. 5. The waitress offered a dessert. I was afraid to get it because I would think it would come in a 2 ounce cup with a bounty towel wrapped around it. Very disappointed in this place over priced. If I could give us zero star, I would.

We arrived 15 minutes before closing, the staff welcomed us and were extremely accommodating. The food and staff were fantastic! I highly recommend the sliced pork sandwich on garlic bread with a side of mashed potatoes and greens. My wife enjoyed the salad bar and sweet tea, while my kids ordered the ribs and wings. There was something on the menu for everyone. We will be back, thank you for the excellent service!

Omgoodness, next time we will be ordering two pulled pork sandwiches each. Man when I say it's good, and the sides are just as amazing. highly recommend you stop by and get some grub. so much better than sonny's yes I said it.
