My husband and his family are Haitian therefore we all know good Haitian food. We ordered take out; legumes with both white rice and diri djon djon rice, also red snapper meals included plantains all 4 of the well portioned meals were delicious! The atmosphere was clean, very pleasant and the guys there were extremely friendly! We definitely highly recommend Silou Restaurant and plan on returning.

Silou Restaurant serves delicious and very good Haitian food, considered by some to be the best Haitian food in Winter Haven. The meals are well-portioned, with good and large portion sizes, and many dishes come with rice and plantains. Specific, praised dishes include the Griyo (fried pork chunks), which is tender, well-seasoned, and served with spicy onions, carrots, and tomato. Other excellent options are the legumes, red snapper, fish in sauce, bouillon, patè, goat, and oxtails. Sides like diri djon djon rice and pikliz made with onions and peppers are flavorful and perfectly cooked, with the pikliz having just the right amount of spice. The atmosphere is clean, inviting, and very pleasant, run by very friendly and nice people. The restaurant is highly recommended, with many customers planning to return. It is noted that the food can be spicy. Parking is limited out front but available nearby. The pricing is viewed as reasonably priced by some, though others find it a little pricey but worth it for the quality.
