Unlike many Haitian restaurants in Polk County, when they say 10 minutes, give me 10 minutes, and the food is deliciously authentic.
Food is perfect and outstanding service.
This was my first time here. When I entered the place, there was a young man working. It wasn’t a warm welcome at all. I ordered 3 plates of griot and rice and 1 plate of chicken and rice. We had to order an extra side of friend plantains as our order only included 2. Total for everything was $83.. I think we could have gotten more griot but the food tasted decent.
Divine Caribbean Flavor Restaurant provides a warm and lively dining experience with excellent customer service. The staff is welcoming and attentive, ensuring guests feel at home. The Haitian food is truly exceptional, making it one of the top 3 Haitian restaurants in Polk County. The restaurant offers generous portions with well-seasoned dishes, especially their griot, which is better than many other places in the area. Notable dishes include bouyon, legim, lalo, and grio, often enjoyed with side dishes like pikliz. The restaurant is primarily takeout, but the quick and no-nonsense service makes it a favorite for those seeking fast, reasonably priced meals. The owner manages the business well, providing good customer service and ensuring food quality. Many customers recommend trying the soup joumou, especially on January 1st, as it holds cultural significance. The small building may be easy to overlook, but the quality, variety, and speed of service make it a standout spot for Haitian cuisine in Winter Haven. The delicious house passion fruit juice adds to the lively atmosphere, complemented by Haitian kompa music that enhances the overall experience.
