The older lady will just call her "Karen" that works behind the counter and seems to run the show is very micromanaging and rude. She's rude to paying customers and she doesn't allow the staff to grow. I witnessed this too many times. When you yell at a customer or ignore a customer or belittle a customer for asking for a special request at the Dairy Queen, you need to get a life lady! She wants to nickel and dime the customer to death. I had money out to pay and simply walked away without getting my order because of the rudeness that you exhibited to me a paying customer.

The food was good, but they gave me the wrong chicken strips, I asked for sauced and tossed but I got regular strips, wasn't a big deal but at least I had dipping sauce. One of the employees acted like she had an attitude that evening, don't know what her problem was. I understand things can happen at work, but don't take it out on a customer who hasn't done or said anything to you.

This was my second experience with Dairy Queen in Albany - one each for Dawson Rd. and East Albany - and I have to say they've been interesting. Both locations indicate they open at 10 AM, but I don't recommend you arrive at that time unless being disappointed is on your to-do list. That start time appears to be an estimate. Thankfully, when I arrived shortly after 10 AM yesterday on Dawson Rd, there were two employees in the store. I needed an ice cream cake, and I have to say, they were very helpful - even icing it down for my travel and making me a white mocha shake. When I left $39 later, no one else had arrived, and the lights still weren't on. So, if you're taking an early lunch, might want to scratch off Dairy Queen?

I walked in and the manager was fussing with someone…again. This is my 2nd time coming in here THIS week and she was fussing very loud with the crew. She even called the girl a devil in disguise. That was completely unnecessary. In management sometimes it gets hard, but that’s not the way to handle it at all. Since Covid, help is hard to find. And establishments should be grateful to have employees after the last few years we’ve faced. Very rude

This Dairy Queen was one to stop at if you ever passed. I woukd reconsider the DQ in this location due to the poor customer service, style of customer service and the delays have only extended of there is a line waiting in the drive through. I have removed this loaction from my favorites at this time and hope the good, clean, and well represented staff returns as soon as possible.

Ordered a #2 (Bacon Triple cheeseburger), was given a #3 (BBQ double cheeseburger). No upsize on the drink nor the fries that I paid for. Called back & asked for a manager & was told there wasn't one & if I could speak with the person on the phone. Evidently the manager on duty was barking instructions to the gentleman I was speaking with because I could hear her talking in the background. I am hoping that one of them will be there tomorrow to correct the issue with my completely wrong order. Not the best customer service......especially when the mistake wasn't my fault. And the fact that the manager wouldn't come speak with me directly is more of an issue than anything.....is customer service just doomed all together? Seems like its a yes at this particular Dairy Queen location.....

In all fairness, they were training a new employee so it took way longer than it should have. Food was on point but you need a much better training program for that wait was ridiculous. I don't blame the new employee, I blame the company for not training

Always closing early. Like 30 minutes early despite waiting in drive thru. The store officially closes at 10:00 but will stop taking orders and close as early as 9:30.

I'm over here from Texas, what a difference, can't say the food is bad but the service is the worst. The counter service is so slow. They have zero customer service etiquette, they spend most of their time talking to each other, walking around, getting nothing done. The longer the line gets the worse they get. It's obviously a leader attitude trickle down problem. I managed DQ's forty years ago. Ashamed how this one is run. They just don't care, and according to reviews I just read the ownership doesn't either...
