A friend of mine and myself come here every so often for sushi. While I will admit I just left Japan, so I was hesitant to get sushi somewhere in America. I can say this place offers a great selection. The portions are also usually more than enough for two people. Also, the taste is not too far off from what I got in Japan. Thank you for a great experience I look forward to my next visit.
Mikata's food is pretty good as far as the standard hibachi goes. Family members and friends who were there with me and others who have gone at other times before stated that the sushi and other items were/are also of good quality. It does seem to be a tad expensive, but I don't know what the average cost is in the Albany, Georgia, area forJapanese food. Oh and drink refills aren't free! (Didn't know that until I got my check.)

We went for dinner on lastnight taking my mom here for the first time and our food was not good. Me and my husband are here for our Anniversary and the food was Delicious….This is why we came back. But, I can tell by the way the Chef we had on last night was handling the food…he wasn’t a Vet! He didn’t use anything to give the food flavor other than Soy sauce and butter….He needs more guidance. The food is too expensive to have amateur Chefs on the floor…..Not sure...
