I have to say I couldn't think of a more perfect venue for a private party! We have experienced The Velvet note many times for events so we knew the size was perfect and so was the stage | sound to host the lovely Magnolia String Quartet a private party. Tamera and her crew were extremely accommodating and helpful to work with!

What a great lil jazz venue! Vibe is relaxed, lot of couples/ families & staff were friendly. For your choice of seating, arrive early. But theres not a bad seat in the living room. Had nice night out with a girlfriend before Christmas frenzy. Our dinner was delicious, highly recommend the crab cakes. They were out of my favorite-shrimp n grits. Got bit noisy/ screeching as had some minor sound issues but the show was still incredible. Amazing talent from pianist; drummer...
Ordered the ribeye steak. The food was OK. My steak was under seasoned and slightly overcooked. Service was slow, but our server was polite.
