I live in Columbus but travel through here for work a lot. My first visit was the best experience food wise and I’ve came back twice since then and haven’t been pleased. The steak was a different cut of meat and tough. They stay out of that green sauce that’s used for the salad. Will I be back a fourth time YES INDEED!

Excellent service! Food is great, has a lot of flavor. This time we ordered ribs, yellow rice with black beans and it was amazing. We also tried the tostones with shrimp and ordered flan (both vanilla and coconut to go). Flan tastes like Puerto Rican ones. Just give it a try!

This place WAS AWESOME when they first opened. Now like everything else’s in Americus it has fallen off sharply. It looks more like a night club than a restaurant. The tables are often dirty some times they have straws. The last 5 times or more that I e been the restroom hasn’t had any paper towels. The ketchup bottles at the tables are filthy and the portions of fries are getting smaller and smaller.

I was not ready for this. Absolutely blown away by how good this food was. La Esquina Cubana in Americus was absolutely amazing. I never even knew this place existed. My boss, who is Cuban, wanted to try it and we couldnt have picked a better spot. I had no idea we could get truly authentic Cuban/Latin/Caribbean food in Americus, Georgia. The portions were huge, the flavor was spot-on..just like I remember from living in South Miami. I am a fan and will definitely be back. It's not much as far as decor goes, but the food and service is amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant.

I Loved it here. It was my first time & their salad, oxtails & Cuban sandwiches were on point! I would've liked a bigger portion size on the oxtails but they were very good, tender & nice size cut. The oxtails were very flavorful.

I've lived in Miami and Key West, suffice it to say, I know good Cuban food. This place is legit. As good a Cuban sandwich as any i've ever had. Oxtails, Cuban chicken stew, black beans, plaintains, sweet and fried, literally everything I've tried has been perfect and portions are large and very fairly priced. Love this place!!

I went here for lunch by myself at about 11:30am on Wednesday, 10.22.25 and sat in a booth on the left side of the restaurant facing the windows and ordered a Cuban sandwich requesting it without mayonnaise. The sandwich came with fries and I asked for a glass of water. I was one of two customers in the place at that time.
When the plate of food came out it smelled good and looked good, but upon my first bite into the sandwich I was surprised the meat was still pretty cold and it was slathered with mayonnaise.
I’m not the kind that complains, so I ate as much as I could of the sandwich because I was really hungry and had some of the fries. The fries were good and cooked just right. They got that part correct.
It was very disappointing as I love a good Cuban sandwich. I had one of the best I’ve ever had at the Hush restaurant in Clayton, Ga. recently. This restaurant should take a lesson from them on how to make one that says, “We know what we’re doing and care about the quality of our food!.”
I gave them 2 stars overall because it wasn’t busy and they still didn’t get my order right or make a good Cuban sandwich when it’s a Cuban restaurant, but they did get the fries right and the service was decent.
