For my seventieth birthday I came down from North Carolina to Georgia to spend it with my family. My nephew lives in Americus and The Fish House was one of his suggestions. We went there.
Eighteen in our party!
The staff were great. The food was awesome. It is a fish house but they serve other foods. I went with the Texas BLT and I was not disappointed.

Does FRESH seafood sound appealing? This is the best place to get it! Despite the small size of the place, it packs a huge wallop of delicious food! We enjoyed shrimp, scallops and oysters, fried to perfection.
The best catfish sandwich I have eaten in recent memory! And unequivocally, the absolute BEST tartar sauce I’ve ever had (and I’m not a big fan of tartar sauce)! Also, prompt service and attentive staff!
