I thought I left this review months ago, guess I forgot to post it š¤¦ I love to bake so I rarely go out for bakery items, except occasionally special birthdays. However I was turned on to Bees Knees by Miss Margot awhile back and let me tell you those petit fours are to die for!! Gorgeous little flower-covered angel toes (I have no idea where that came from, but I'm sticking by it!). When I eat them I feel like a queen, as they are truly the little cakes of the Gods! So decadent, so DANGEROUSLY ADDICTIVE, I crave them all the time. They have become the cakes by which I judge all other cakes. Their cupcakes were also very good -moist and flavorful- but the petit fours are my big weakness. I've never been crazy about fondant, but DANG. They're sweet but not TOO sweet, with maybe the lightest hint of lemon? They're well sized for petit fours, I will eat them until I get sick.. and then I will have one more just for good measure š They should be saved for special occasions, but I'm thinking Monday is a special occasion... I mean, its gotta be somebody's birthday or anniversary somewhere, right? ššøš°

The most important part is that this was perhaps the best cake Iāve ever eaten. Honestly, it was insanely delicious. Not only that, she made it look awesome for my daughterās 5th birthdayāmermaidā themed birthday. All of the parents there immediately started asking where we got it from and, after taking a bite, asked again to make sure they would remember so they could order from here for their kids birthday. Anytime we need a cake, or honestly, anything that they make, Iām absolutely going here.

Everything that I've had from here is delicious. Brownies and cupcakes are highlights for sure. I bake treats myself and I suspect a lot of these items are made with mixes, so I don't need really feel the need to come here often, but it's nice to have if I don't feel like making a whole cake or pan of brownies. But no shade, it's still very good! Would love to see cake slices as an option!

The cupcakes were good, not great, but the biggest problem was the rude staff. I ordered (and paid) for 2 dozen cupcakes (yeah, a $100 order) to be ready at 10:30am. I arrived at 10:00 when they opened and told the woman who (grudgingly) open the door that I was early but thought they might be ready. After giving her my name she said āthey will be ready at 10:30 like you orderedā. No āIām afraid they arenāt done yetā or āit will be a whileā, but a short rude statement. Instead of calling her out for her attitude I left. I didnāt want to take a chance on her doing something rude to the food too. I returned at 10:30 and got the cupcakes. Again they were fine. Not worth $4/each and an attitude, but fine. Given the number of bakeries in Athens it seems like being just a little pleasant might help you stay in business. I mean there is another bakery in the same strip mall. I will not be going back and advise no one else to either. You can do much better in Athens.

I ordered cookies for a baby shower from Bees Knees. Jamie designed 4 different cookies (3dozen), and they were so adorable. At first, I thought they were expensive, but when I saw themā¦.worth every penny. They took the time to look at the invitation and listen to my ideas. And they were delicious also!!! I could not have been more pleased. I wholeheartedly recommend this place!!!

Our middle school scout troop was working on a cake decorating badge, and I called several bakeries in town. Beeās Knees is the only one that responded positively to my requests and set up a time with me. The staff members took our scout troop on a tour of the bakery, walking the girls through each process and spending time answering all their questions. They surprised the girls with a treat of their choice at the end of the visit. Everything was delicious. Such a sweet place with great staff. Thank you Beeās Knees!

Got 6 cupcakes at $4.00 each, unfortunately this was the biggest waste of money I have spent in a long time. The icing and cake were bland and tasteless. The cake was not fresh. Last time I waste my money there. The service was good and the cupcakes looked good, but I would rather have a ugly cupcake that actually tastes good and was fresh.

I had level 12 gamer cupcakes and a cake made for my sonās birthday. The cake and cupcakes were a major hit!! We will definitely be back.
Absolutely beautiful cake design, it was practically identical to the inspiration picture I sent. Everyone raved about how pretty the cake was but unfortunately the outside was much better than the inside. Followed instruction to leave refrigerated and then take out one hour before serving but cake was so very dry. It was definitely a birthday letdown. So disappointed considering how absolutely beautiful the outside was.

I've been getting their egg salad sandwich and cheese straws for lunch for years now (so so good!). I recently ordered "gender reveal" cupcakes from them and they turned out perfect! It was the best subtle way to share the news with my husband and toddler. The whole process was fast and easy!
