In February of 2025, Dawg Gone Good BBQ catered a wedding that I coordinated at the UGA Botanical Gardens. The food was AMAZING!! The owner and staff were friendly, professional, and a joy to work with! I’d give 20 stars if I could!! On another note…they have a restaurant in downtown Athens near my husband’s office so it’s very close!! I can go there and get their food often!!
Barbecue is something I have been trying to find the perfect barbecue for more than 60 years. This place is fantastic, and I will continue to go back and buy some more. BJ brings his own recipes, style and high-quality every single time he serves a plate of food. The Atmosphere is old-school southern barbecue. The place is spotlessly clean. The folks who work there could not be more gracious and hospitable. And the recipes are all distinctive, and BJ is going to simply serve you...
The food was exceptional and the portion sizes and value were tremendous as well. The plates came with two sides and they were a highlight of the meal. Also, the service was quite friendly and greeted everyone that came in.\n\nIt has an unassuming exterior, but don't let that stop you from enjoying a great meal!
