I will be glad when China Wok opens back up this Saturday. At least they don't pick and choose who to be lovely to. I patronize Golden Dragon several times per week at almost $20 per visit and I feel like the owner woman cherry picks who deserves the attentive wide fake smile and who deserves distant familiarity. What a grouch. I rather a low brow take-out restaurant that behaves like they want you there than a mid-brow restaurant that behaves as if they are doing you a favor to give them your money.

Ordered from here and my husband and I were both violently ill with diarrhea for over a week. Went to the doctor and they believed we both had bacteria infections from the food. We had cooked on our own the 5 days before so we knew this was the only thing 'out of the ordinary' for our sickness to occur. After reading the reviews (and getting over the infection) I would NEVER order from here again. Obviously facility is filthy and they are not using good hygiene.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Chicken tastes like microwave Chicken and the fried rice is white? Like what. Honestly the worst Chinese food in Athens. Go to peking down the road.

We get take out here all the time and are never disappointed. Lunch buffet is good as well. While the atmosphere is 'modest' the food and wait staff are all quite good. This is a family run restaurant. They put out a phenomenal buffet every day which includes several dishes made with shrimp in addition to the usual aray of Chinese dishes. This evening I ordered off the menu and had Shrimp and Scallops with Chinese vegetables and House Mei Fun which is similar to Lo Mein but made with delicate thin rice noodles. Tonight they gave me a gift. A wall scroll with the Chinese Zodiac and the 2020 Calendar.

Just ew why do they have to smother everything in sweet and sour??? The crab Rangoon didn’t taste good and were chewy not crunchy.

Ordered take out chicken fried rice, egg drop soup, and egg rolls. The egg rolls tasted ok but were literally dripping in oil. I had to towel them off. The fried rice was bland and the chicken was really strange. Like it was breaded and then de breaded?? The egg drop soup was inedible. It had shrimp and not fully cooked chicken floating in it, not to mention the egg was totally separated from the soup. It smelled like seafood and spam. I usually order other places but this was the only place open during the covid shutdown. Don't be tempted like me :(

Love this place! Great selection, low prices, calm soothing atmosphere. Good place to eat with friends, especially the lunch buffet.

I have been going there for years but less and less after the change in owners a couple of years back. I went for dinner and ordered a chicken entree. It had no taste at all and when I mentioned it to the server, he gave a wry smile as if he knew why. By the time I got to the car, my stomach was upset and I had horrible diarrhea that night. It was bad chicken. I should have known better when I saw that no one was there that evening and they blamed it on school being out for MLK holiday. Their lunch is good and what they tried to do was dump their chicken that had gone bad.
I have been going there for many years for lunch but less and less since the new ownership. I went for dinner and ordered a chicken entrée. It had no taste and I told the server who gave me a wry smile as if he knew why. Even before I got to the car, I started getting an upset stomach and had severe diarrhea when I got home. It was clear that it was contaminated chicken and they knew it. Leftover from earlier in the day.
