I moved away from Athens a couple of years ago. During this latest return visit I just had to reconnect with Golden Dragon! Since I was in for the evening I decided to order delivery. My fresh, piping hot Shrimp Egg Fu Yong was delivered 30 minutes later! The large shrimp in this dish was delish! Definitely recommend Golden Dragon and the Egg Fu Yong!

Very cool decor. Service has the attitude at times of, ‘it is what it is’, but honestly I don’t mind cause it’s not in a rude way, just in a- this is how it’s done way. Does that make sense? Anyway, very yummy food with great portion sizes. I think this place deserves to be more busy. They do dine-in, takeout and they have a buffet special.

The food is delicious and the buffet is reasonably priced. The staff clears your dishes quickly; and make sure to bring you more drink, without you having to ask. If you are looking for good Chinese food at reasonable prices; we definitely recommend Golden Dragon at Alps Road in Athens, Georgia.

Whenever we come home to Athens, this is one of our go-to spots for dinner. We always do take out so cannot comment on the dining in but to-go is always good quality and tasty. Try the Happy Family, Hot and Sour Soup, , Mongolian Beef or Kung Pao Chicken you will love it !
Came in right before buffet was supposed to close so they made us order dinner at 315. Ordered a pupu plate for two and got one chicken wrong cut into two pieces. The rest of the food obviously came off the buffet leftovers as it was so over cooked and rock hard. The sweet and sour sauce was good. Shrimp was like leather. General Gao chicken at least didn't break my teeth. I must be spoiled because I really was amazed that for 50 bucks plus tip was ridiculous. So sad 😞

They gave me no silverware. No utensils for my to go order. I couldn't eat my soup because I had no spoon. I couldn't eat my entree because I had no fork.
