The same compliment as 100 proof, they are same owner, but yesterday the experience of bartender was ridiculous. They banned me in the bar for 3 years I asked the reason, at first, they did not gave me any supporting reason. One of the bartender said I brought camera in, but I did not bring any camera inside actually, even if the bartender saw I have a camera so that he welcome me to come back next time, I agreed, but this time he banned me in and I cannot have any chance to appeal. It's the most racism bar I have never been! When I tried to give my contact information to one bartender or owner to appeal, he wanted to call the police, I was treated unjustly by them if it's the reason I am Asian? Everyone being aware of the Hedges and the 100 proof, they are the most racism bar in Athens GA. I saw a lady was kicked out but she lose her cell phone inside, but the bartenders were so RUDE that they did not allow her back! No one were treated unjustly in the future, fight for the human right!

The worst bar that I've ever experienced throughout my life. They kicked me out for no reason by having a bartender drag me out of the door. I got my ID and beer inside the bar I can't see any reason for kicking me out. The only reason I can think of is racism although they considered my “dress code†unfitted for the bar while others guys dressed similar style like me. I'll never step into this bar again even when there isn't any other bar in Athens , neither should you. Make sure you go to any other bar instead of this one.

Hedges is awesome! The staff is super friendly and they are super quick to make drinks. The DJ is way better than anything around Athens as well.

Hedges is known for its discriminatory enforcement of the dress code. When raised to the attention of the owner/operator, claims of discrimination were denied and nothing was changed. Please choose a different bar that treats all patrons fairly.

Rude staff, racist dress code applied on a person-to-person basis. Not surprisingly it's enforced more with minority patrons. The owner has defended the dress code and told people that they were mistaken about their own experience. Do not give this place your money.
