Outstanding food & service. 5 STARS or better yet, 6 STARS out of 5. We have a Thanksgiving feast of beef brisket, pulled chicken, turkey, Quarts of green beans, collards, sweet potato casserole, corn bread dressing, large cartons of gravy, red bbq sauce & white Morgan Co sauce, a pecan pie & chocolate pie, all of it delivered by the manager, Rachel.
Great place to eat. Friendliest staff. Ty Cobb & Bryce are awesome! If you’re going thru Auburn Alabama… make sure & stop in for some great food & friendly service. Texas 🤠
I just spent 50 bucks at Jim n Nicks in snellville and the ribs were almost unedible and the brisket was awful. I was asked to do a survey to save 5 bucks and I would say it was the worst bbq ive ever had.
Even though we were there when other restaurants had 60 min. Waits on a Sun., we were able to order & get our food almost immediately. The appetizer corn muffins are delicious & a nice treat while waiting for our order. We didn’t even finish the muffins before our food arrived. Sides are delicious and the BBQ is flavorful. Portions are large-we had leftovers for dinner!!

They forgot the most important part, the sauce 😭😭
Got the potato and brisket. It was good but tons of fat in the meat
Let me tell you right now... if Athens ever builds a Hall of Fame for Flavor, Chris from Jim ‘N Nick’s is getting his own wing. I don’t know what kind of divine deal this man made with the BBQ gods, but every rib, brisket, and pulled pork plate he touches tastes like it’s been blessed by smoke and salvation.
You've heard of BBL's, BBW's & BBC's but I tell you what! Chris over at Jim 'N' Nicks in Athens is slangin the best darn BBQ I ever put in my mouth!
I swear I saw a rack of ribs stand at attention when he walked by. At 1st glance you would assume he's wearing an apron. But that's not no dang apron, it’s a superhero cape. He’s not a cook, he’s the Pitmaster Prophet of Pulled Pork
Outside the kitchen? Same energy. Friendly, humble, the type of guy who’ll give you life advice while checking the internal temp of a brisket. You could be going through a midlife crisis and he’ll just say, “Brother, give it time, everything’s better after a slow smoke,” and suddenly you’ll believe him.
Jim ‘N Nick’s Athens is lucky to have him. The food’s phenomenal, but it’s Chris who turns a BBQ joint into a spiritual experience. I came for the pulled pork — I left questioning my life choices and smelling like heaven.
If you eat anywhere else in Athens before stopping by Jim ‘N Nick’s, you’ve officially wasted a meal.
Come hungry. Leave reborn.
Go now. Cancel your plans. Tell your mama you found religion in a brisket sandwich
And if you see Chris, tell him his cooking just made another believer.
