We stopped by Saucehouse BBQ restaurant this afternoon, as first time customers, out of town. We were greeted with the most warm welcome! The food was amazing, the staff was very kind and overall experience just pure joy! Plus, as first time customers the dessert was on the house!! My family had a great experience! Thank you, Saucehouse employees, for making us feel welcomed!

I loved the ribs! I’m not a ribs fan but this one’s were really good! Their banana pudding was so fresh and soft to you palate. They honor their name ? and have a very wide variety of sauces for your food. Try them!

They were out of bone in wings. i went there strictly for bone in wings because they were 6 for 6 dollars. however they informed me they were out and offered me boneless wings instead which i said okay that's fine. then when i got to the register to pay they tried to charge me the normal price but why is it my fault YALL ran out of the bone in sale wings. so i said that and he didn't care at all and rang me up full priced. i wouldn't of paid but i was starving. then it took 25 minutes for the boneless wings to come out. i went in at 15 mins and said "hey do u know how much longer by chance i ordered like 15 mins ago and no one ever told me how long it would take. " mind yall i was very nice i could've gone full karen but didnt. then they said "uh yea there cooking five more minutes" yet the girl didnt even walk away to go and look and actually see. So i went back and sat down. By the time i got said wings (10 mins after i went in) they were cold. cold. i thought they were cooking? anyways on top of all of this no one was kind they all didn't care or anything. i would also like to state i tipped. i'm not sure why at this point but i did.

This is one of the best places in Athens. There is something for everyone (kiddos and adults), the bbq is DELICIOUS, and there are just the nicest people working here. A perfect spot on a sunny, spring day!

We met our son and his girlfriend for lunch 2/28/24. It was a wonderful experience. The food was delicious and very fresh. Everyone was so friendly. Linda and Juan were so helpful. Christopher, the owner saw us having issues taking photos in the awesome courtyard with fountain! He took our photo for us. Cannot wait to go back!

The staff is super friendly (aside from one person we encountered who seemed new and slightly stressed, so, no big deal). The brisket and collard greens were delicious!! My family also really liked the potato salad, fried okra, and cole slaw. The pulled pork was a little dry and the bread pudding was really greasy.

Our family is a big bbq fans. We would travel for some good bbq so we drove here from Evans, Ga to try this place. It was ok. We tried everything but the ribs as they weren’t available. I also come from Texas where bbq, in my opinion is unmatched (insert chef’s kiss). Here’s our rating from best to lowest:MeatsPulled pork, chicken, brisket. The beef tips super dry and tough.SidesBaked beansMac n cheeseGreensGreen bean casseroleRiceDessertsBread pudding and peach cobbler were too oily and soggy.Loved the ice and drink selections. We forgot to take photos. Just weren’t worthy of it.

I met a colleague here for lunch yesterday and neither of us was very impressed. The employees were friendly and service was quick. The price was basically in line with most other barbeque places. The food wasn't impressive. I got pulled pork, which was flavorless without some kind of sauce. There are plenty of sauces offered, but the few that I tried weren't much better than what can be purchased at a store. The mac & cheese and Brunswick stew that I had as sides weren't especially good. The mac & cheese was bland and the cheese was rubbery. The stew was oddly sweet. As I told my colleague, it was so sweet that it could have been eaten as a dessert. The music in the restaurant was incredibly loud, as well, which made having a conversation difficult. Maybe we caught Saucehouse on a bad day, but neither my colleague nor I were inclined to visit again.

It's an average barbecue place. I've never gone to the Bar side of the restaurant but I like that they split the restaurant away from the bar for a more family friendly experience or a good time for drinks with friends. The service is always quick as you tell them the plate you want and then pick your meat and sides down the line.
