They're slow, they'll serve you out of the order in which they receive their orders. They are often closed when they're supposed to be open because "our system crashed". Very difficult to do business with these people.

I ordered a burger with cheese, lettuce, and everything else. They literally threw two plain patties on a bun and served it cold. I ordered a vanilla shake with whipped cream and a cherry. They literally threw ice cream in a cup. Pretty frustrating to have given money to a company that apparently doesn’t care enough to put 1% effort into getting a single part of the order right. Don’t recommend this place and won’t be coming again.

Their "system was down" and they apparently had no ability to think outside the box, or use common sense! why couldn't they may take our order, and up the cost from their menu, apply the appropriate percentage of sales tax, and make the sale?? They could be entered in the system later once it's back up. Are we really so reliant on technology that we can't operate while it has a glitch?!?

At our most recent visit only the drive thru was open. The outside looked like the place was closed down for sometime. The parking lot is getting to a bad state of disrepair. The menu was very limited and most of my favorites are not on it. We used to love this place. When we got the food we ordered it was the worst food by a long shot we have ever gotten there. Its like they didnt care about it since it was drive thru only. The fries were cold and soggy. The burger was luke warm and soggy. We will not go back here until they open up for sit down service. And the only reason we will do that is because it was one of our favorite fast food places to eat as a family. We want to give it a second chance.

Steak 'n Shake's food is consistently good. The burgers are real ground beef that tastes fresh every time. The shakes are to die for. Real ice cream with quality ingredients. And the best part about the shakes is they have happy hour weekdays from 2-4 pm. I'm not a French fry lover, so I can't comment on those but they look good when my friend gets them. This was my first time in this restaurant. It was a great burger and fries for $5 bucks!! I didn't eat in, but got my food to go. The shake was also awesome!!

So tonight my husband was searching for places to eat for dinner in the Athens, GA area he called 6 different places and everyone them didn't want to serve us because we were in a semi!!! Like come on people what is the point in advertising curbside delivery if you only choose to serve certain people??? Anyways luckily we were able to find a place that didn't mind serving us one bit, that being said I Just want to give a big thank to the crew at Steak & Shake in Athen, GA

Had a great time here with my family the waitress bent over backwards for us. We had a 9 month old and a 3 year old with us. She got us hot water for the bottle and just waited on us hand and foot. And the food is always amazing at steak and shake

Good food at a great price...what else could you want. We had been at the hospital all day and we had a chance to go eat so we chose SnS for a quick bite. The burger was on par with anything you would get at a high end place but the price was a bargin. The lady that took our order was such a sweetheart! We werr wore out from being at the hospital and She was the little bit of sunshine we needed, although all the employees seemed to be nice to their customers. If you want a really good burger eat here.
