We were not very impressed. The brisket, though tender & moist was bland. I noticed there was no smoke ring on the meat (BBQ 101). No smoke ring = no smoke taste. The portion sizes were fine, but a bit overpriced. Not much to the service - you order at the counter, pay and they bring you your food. They never checked on us ("how's everything tasting?" etc).

I keep hearing how good their breakfast is so despite being disappointed with dinner there a while back I decided to give it a shot. The breakfast burrito was the worst I’ve ever had, literally the silliest excuse for a breakfast burrito I’ve ever seen. Warm tortilla, ice cold ingredients inside. The shredded cheese was closer to frozen than melted, the eggs were maybe 1/2 a scrambled egg and a tiny bit of bacon with some “jalapeño” that was diced to microscopic proportions and had zero flavor. A huge disappointment. I will not try this place again.

We went for dinner and no one was there, was a bit of a wait till someone checked if there was any customers. Really good brisket tho, the sides were eh but still pretty good overall.

Okay, I don’t write bad reviews unless it’s ~really~ bad. And this was, actually, really bad. $20 after tip (20%, which I now regret), only to wait for a half hour for two extraordinarily disappointing burritos. Mine was cold - not lukewarm, actually cold. Shredded cheese was still hard, also it was missing the egg entirely… the other one was warm, luckily, but flavorless as the watery salsa it came with.
Man, I regret going here. I feel like I completely wasted my time and money. This may be my first negative review I’ve ever left a place, and it’s because I got back in my car feeling kind of disrespected because of how wildly bad it was.
Temez, you completely missed the mark.

Let's start by saying that we had high hopes after our research on this restaurant, and the reviews we'd read.

We arrived shortly before 2pm, and the staff was chatting when we walked inside the establishment. There were no smiles or hellos. However, they were quick to announce they were out of pulled pork--as soon as we walked in. Okay, thanks for letting us know.

Once we ordered, they directed us outside to the dining area. At first glance, the makeshift dining room seemed fine, but, as we looked around (the dining area was completely empty), we saw that all the tables were dirty. We chose the cleanest table, towards the rear of the room.

After waiting 30(ish) minutes, the same person who took our order came into the room, left our plates and just walked away. Not a single word. I get it; we all have "days", but, wow, ok.

Now the food: worse than disappointing. My partner ordered the brisket plate and I got the chicken fajita plate. The amount of actual brisket was probably less than 2 oz, and mostly fat. It seemed to crawl across the tray because of how gelatinous it was. Also, the beans and rice were basically unseasoned. Not even the slightest amount of flavor.

All of this resulted in us leaving the majority of our food and leaving shortly thereafter.

I can honestly say that I have never had such a bad meal...EVER. And in terms of the service, I really hope her day got better, because, after that experience, ours surely didn't.

The brisket that we were so excited to try was absolutely inedible. There were 3 of us there for lunch and each ordered brisket. A sandwich, a sliced plate and tacos. What was served to us was completely fat and scraps. There was no lean at all. We ended up throwing it all in the trash and leaving. It was $60, which was high to begin with, but would have been worth it if it had been good brisket. They should be embarrassed by what they knowingly put on our plates. We will never go there again and strongly suggest others to beware.

No just no!
Pinto beans don't belong in bbq. Collards are disgusting, and why do you cut the potatoes that way. Bbq sauce has waaaay too much vinegar... also chocked me up when I tasted it. good flavor but the vinegar is way too strong. Don't go here. $15 for a BBQ plate that went to the trash.

Delicious tacos, breakfast dishes and the special touch comes from the freshly made flour tortillas ?

Stopped by to try this place for the first time during lunch. I ordered the brisket plate with macaroni and collard greens as my sides. Meal was around $19 including an added drink before any tip. This was my first time having brisket and I’m not sure I would ever have it again if this is how it’s suppose to be cooked. It lacked any flavor to me and was only edible because of the sauce. The sides I tried were terrible. I opened my macaroni and immediately realized I had been served something similar to boxed mac and cheese except the boxed macaroni from Kraft may have tasted better. The “macaroni” only tasted like noodles and pasta water with absolutely no seasoning or even hint of cheese flavoring. The “cheese” used must be the liquid packaged stuff you get out of boxed macaroni but severely watered down. I tried adding salt and pepper to it and it was still inedible and bland. It was quite literally the worst macaroni I’ve ever been served. The collard greens tasted like they were made with pickle juice for some odd reason and that was off putting to me. They had a kick to them but definitely not the collard greens I am use to. If this is how BBQ is in Texas I’m not jumping to go try it anytime soon and I don’t see myself returning to this restaurant. I ended up throwing the majority of the food away unfortunately. Many people seem to love this place so maybe I just caught them on a bad day.

Only been once, but the people working there were exceptionally kind and welcoming. Great place to grab a brisket sandwich.

The food was delicious, the service was great. For a first-time experience, it's an 8.5/10 experience for me. Their tea could be sweeter, but that's my only complaint.
