Omg this place blew my mind Start to finish this was the best meal I have had at a restaurant We had Rez at 9pm, Friday night off the ferry from nyc, Rez seemed like a must! One of the best meals I've had in a long time. My husband and I shared the scallops and steak and both were excellent. We had a table outside and it was a lovely spot to sit and enjoy a meal. Despite having a very New York City vibe and prices, I was pleasantly surprised by Vine Street, the staff was unpretentious and the atmosphere was relaxed. I would certainly recommend Vine Street to anyone traveling to Shelter Island.

Vine street cafe is by far the best eatery on Shelter Island. Locally sourced seafood and produce are worth the trek to this Shelter Island American restaurant housed in a cottage, where its hard to go wrong with the exceptional eats and selections from East End vineyards; the ambience is always lively and the laid-back vibe makes it the perfect eatery for any occasion. It's definitely worth coming here even if you're not staying on Shelter Island.
