The tapas was really good! Def enjoyed several but I loved the mussels! My friends and I sat at the bar and the service was great, the bartenders and other staff members checked on us frequently making sure we were good and we liked our food. The manager also came out and greeted us and he was super friendly. Overall it was a great time! Definitely recommend.

So disappointed. Amazing food! Lovely restaurant and vibe. But service failed us multiple times in different ways on the evening of 6/3. I wish we could have had the great experience others in the reviews are reporting. I also hope the owner reads the long email I sent. I blame the manager who handled his servers and the guests very poorly. And also shame to the server who tried to gaslight us by saying they had ran out of oranges for the sangria as we stared at 2 baskets of them on the bar counter and we ended up asking another server to bring the fruit for my friends bday sangria. It wasn’t about the fruit it’s about not being a customer service professional, and I was a server/bartender for over 10yrs. These were not the only 2 issues that night but again, I hope the owner reads my email and follows up with myself and the staff. Thanks to our server with the long locs for at least listening to our concerns, apologizing (as some things, not all 😒, were out of his control), and his attempts at rectifying the night. The manager again did not and needs to be talked to.

This is my 3rd time coming to Barcelona at this location and it has always been a good experience, yesterday was my bachelorette and i regret having my dinner here. from having 7:45 pm reservations and not being seated for 30 minutes. to never receiving the classic bread/oil having been seated for 40 minutes and having to ask several times to receive any of the drinks or tapas we ordered along with it . to the grand finale of asking for our check at 9:20 pm and not receiving it until 45 minutes later and we were still charged incorrectly and it took another 15 to resolve that. We ended up speaking with the manager about our horrible service to which he apologized but that was the extent of it. This was supposed to be a relaxing evening celebration at my favorite restaurant and now i am left with such a bad taste in my mouth for this establishment. Barcelona, do better. What a shame.

This is a late review but I’ve been to this restaurant a couple times for a rehearsal and birthday dinner. Paella is amazing and vibes are always good. Great for a date night too! I definitely would recommend to make a reservation in advance as it gets very busy during the weekends

My boyfriend has been talking about Barcelona for a while, especially their Chicken Pimientos, so we finally made a date night out of it. I was expecting great food because of how highly he spoke of it, but what really surprised me was how incredible the service was.
From the moment we sat down, our server, Wynn, made us feel completely taken care of. He was knowledgeable about both the menu and the wine list, guided us through several recommendations, and let us know upfront that the Chicken Pimientos would take a little longer to prepare. Thanks to that recommendation, we ended up exploring so much more of the menu while we waited, and I'm so glad we did.
We started with the Patatas Bravas, mussels, sheep's cheese, bread with olive oil, empanadas, and shrimp. Every dish came out beautifully presented and packed with flavor that wasn't overwhelming on the pallet like some other places i can name in the area lol. For my cocktail, I was in the mood for mezcal, and the drink recommendation was phenomenal. It had a beautiful presentation and it was one of those cocktails you remember long after you finish it.
The seafood paella was outstanding and easily one of the highlights of the evening. By the time the Chicken Pimientos arrived, we were so full from everything else that we had to grab a box, but we still had to take a few bites because it absolutely lived up to the hype.
What stood out most was the hospitality. Wynn had the perfect balance of attentiveness and professionalism. He was always there when we needed something but never intrusive, which made for a perfect date-night experience. Genesis and the support staff were equally impressive, constantly making sure our table was maintained, our waters were full, and that we had everything we needed. It truly felt like a team effort.
The management team also made a point to check on us throughout the evening. Fred stopped by our table and made us feel genuinely valued as guests. Nothing felt forced or scripted. Everyone we encountered seemed happy, engaged, and committed to creating a memorable experience.
Even though the restaurant was busy, it somehow felt intimate and relaxed. We never felt rushed, and we never felt overlooked. This was my first visit, but it definitely won't be my last. Great food gets people in the door, but exceptional hospitality is what brings them back. Barcelona delivered both, and I can absolutely see why it's one of my boyfriend's favorite spots in Atlanta.

Had my birthday dinner at Barcelona this past Saturday with a group of girlfriends and they absolutely understood the assignment. They went all out for us and made me feel so celebrated the entire night. The energy was amazing, the service was incredible, and they really know how to get the whole group hyped up for a birthday dinner while still making everything feel elevated and special.
Special shoutout to Wangari, the beverage manager, for making sure everything ran smoothly from start to finish. Our group had the best time and I already know we’ll be back for another girls’ night soon. Highly recommend if you want a fun spot that knows how to celebrate people right!
