Calaverita’s has delicious food for a pretty good price if you consider the weekly deals they do on certain days! Wednesdays are currently $5 off bowls, Tuesdays have a taco special deal, and Sunday there’s a brunch deal. We tried the 5 pack birria tacos, which comes with a really flavorful jackfruit filling. First of all, I grew up in Houston so I ate my fair share of tacos growing up. Since going vegan and moving to New Orleans I have felt a huge sadness at the lack of good Mexican food.
