The pictures don't do this beautiful space justice, you have to experience it in-person. Dined at the bar- Bartenders were very attentive. Food came out fast, especially considering it was a Friday night. Great experience overall! Manager introduced herself and was very friendly. Beautiful restaurant for a romantic date night or a drink with friends at the bar. I can't get over how gorgeous the design is here!

Overpriced for the food they give you. The aesthetic inside is very nice but all the wood paneling makes it the loudest restaurant I have ever been to. You have to yell across table to have conversation. Tried once, will not be returning. Save yourself a trip and try many other great spots in Buckhead and/or Atlanta instead.

Excellent food and service. Jenee was a great server and guided us through the menu. The cocktails were creative and delicious. The tuna tartare and pork belly tostadas were really tasty. For the mains, the scallops were really well made and the tagliatelle with chicken had an amazing sauce. Highly recommend.

From cocktails, to appetizers (the best shrimp we've ever had), to entrees... absolutely spectacular!! This made for a beautiful date night and the atmosphere and design is lovely!

Vibe was outstanding. Food was average at best. Favorite dish was the pork belly tostadas. Everything else was to be desired for the price point. Cocktails were decent but $18-20 per. I don't think I would go back for dinner but would absolutely return for drinks and loungy vibe. Service was great staff was super friendly. A little on the slower side but as long as you plan for an hour min that won't impact your experience.

First time visiting Carmel since they opened and I’m honestly just regretting not coming in before! I went for a girls night so we ordered drinks and mostly appetizers, but everything was delicious. From the things we ordered, my favorite definitely needs to be the mussels!Finished up with an expresso martini and it was like being in heaven?(Expresso martinis can be hard to make and taste good because of the strong taste of coffee, but this one was definitely on point!)

Carmel was really, really disappointing. We are huge fans of Bellina Alimentari from early on, and of Chef Tal's Rina as well, but Carmel was an almost complete failure. The lobster cannelloni filling was bland and mealy, instead of light the hamachi crudo was an unrecognizable almost brown color, the seafood tasty and well-prepared, but papardella was overcooked and the sauce was unremarkable, and and the mushroom pasta needed salt, I was told. The sweet potatoes and the halibut stole the show! The lemon cheesecake we tasted and left, and the actual cake in the milk cake was ordinary. The air conditioning was either not turned on, or malfunctioning. The restaurant was "Oh my gosh, I'm sweating," hot, and really, really loud, with strange zither type music, blaring over guests having to repeat themselves, because conversation was impossible.

One of Atlanta’s most romantic - yet unpretentious - restaurants. Tal Baum’s newest venture takes inspration from the coasts of the Mediterranean, California, & the Yucatan peninsula & is reflected in both the ambience & delicious offerings. We ate our way through ceviches, tortas, milk buns, pasta, fire roasted whole shrimp, fish, & vegetables - & a sleeper surprise - apple & endive salad. This restaurant is gorgeous & serves up perfect date night vibes with top notch service to match. S/O to Bryan for taking such good care of us. Carmel is destination-worthy dining.

Tried Carmel for the first time on a date night. The experience was a 10/10. Our waitress, Indira, was so kind and attentive. Started with a dozen oysters and milk buns. My smoked mushroom tagliatelle was amazing. My boyfriend had the seafood pappardelle that he really enjoyed. The coconut lime cheesecake was heavenly. Will definitely be back soon!

Went after watching The Bob Marley movie at Phipps on Valentines Day with my wife! Staff were very accommodating, considering we were walk-ins. Ambiance was a whole vibe... the food was great... MOD not so much but overall good experience with server & other staff members. I'm not really sure why the reviews were so low (3.9 or so at the time), but I could see us coming back in the future ?. Thanks, Carmel & my compliments to the chef!!!

My family and I went to Carmel for my mom’s birthday dinner. It was easy to set up a reservation. We did it at on the app Open Table. The atmosphere, and the interior design is very beautiful and I really enjoyed it. We went on a weekday Tuesday evening, which was quite quiet, but we enjoyed that we got our food fast and our service was phenomenal. For My Mom‘s birthday, they gave us all complementary champagne, which was very thoughtful and very kind. This is what we ordered :- Raw oysters to share for a table for 3 order- Lobster cannelloni- roasted cauliflower side dish (it is a little spicy ?️)- roasted broccolini- New York prime steak with bok choy and mushrooms- scallops and risottoAll the food tasted phenomenal, steak was slightly salty, but still cooked well. I really enjoyed how they season the vegetables and I really liked the scallops & risotto , That was my favorite dish.Overall, I’m very happy because my mom was very happy with her dinner. I do highly recommend this restaurant.Parking is paid parking in the garage, which is a short walking distance to the restaurant.
