We LOVED this restaurant!!! Everyone was so overly nice and the service was amazing. As soon as we sat down, we were given chips and salsa that were even warm! Everyone was smiling and friendly. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be coming back

I got two cheese enchiladas with rice and beans. Fast, hot, and delicious. Excellent customer service as well. Salsa was not the best but salsa none the less!

Probably the best mexican restaurant on the planet. Unreal friendly service. The hot sauce wheel is a life changer. Extremely affordable. Good drinks. Great salsa. Super fresh guac. Incredible chorri queso. I love this place and would do anything for it.

I ordered the beef soup and was so disappointed. It was so bland. The soup broth tasted like pure water. There was ABSOLUTELY NO SEASONING in the soup and it was costly. I will not return.

Classic but showing its age. Still good and consistent. Strong cleaning fluid smell with last visit.

Great chile relleno, choriqueso, and soft tacos. Highly recommend the chorizo and carne asada tacos.

Everyday is Taco TUESDAYYYYY at El Potro! My friend @atlantabestbites had us join her at one of her favorite spots on Buford Highway and we wrrr excited to give it a try. It is DANGEROUS to come in here ordering a pitcher of skinny margaritas... let alone two of them... especially for our table 3 people. Service was pretty good - the server was patient with our questions and recommended certain dishes based on what we liked. I like spicy and was feeling something slightly lighter than red meat so I decided to try the Camarones a la Diabla and it was SPICY. That sauce HURT ME in many ways LOL but if you can handle spicy, I definitely recommend. It comes with rice and refried beans and I found it to be on the pricier side of the menu ($16.95) but it came with a ton of shrimps so I didn't complain. Overall, it's a little farther of a drive down Buford Highway for me but a solid spot to grab a drink (or two or five) and a bite to eat before a night out.

This is my go to spot for Mexican food. Almost immediately you have hot chips and yummy salsa in front of you the moment you sit down. Everything I get here is always good.

Great food. The tacos are fantastic and the sauces are good! The service is bilingual and caring. They've a great drink selection. Wheelchair accessibility is possible but tricky. Vegetarians will be okay.Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options. Vegans will need to be careful.Parking: 20 spots surround the building.Wheelchair accessibility: It's doable, but call ahead.
