No longer in the same location but it was good, pricey, but good!
Yesssss thank you sooo much this is delicious
The dish i had the meat was fried with absolutely zero seasoning or sauce whatsoever. Sauce on the side. At $25 i expect more flavor. But not a bad place, tasted fresh, just average. Other dishes are probably better.
To go place inside gas station.
This is the worst. I came by today for the first time and the oxtail plate was $30. Typical price but I came home to see 1 oxtail for my plate. Not worth the money.
Not good food very salty
Food is bussing. Great food.
I’ve been there twice and had 4 different lates from there
The oxtails only had 3 pieces and they were alright
The snapper was fye I enjoyed
The griot not to much it didn’t give me that griot from the Zoe’s in Miami
The stew chicken was bland it look good but it was bland
However the D’jon D’jon rice and plantains always good
Oh ya and waay to expensive , I’m like the other woman who commented and said if you don’t know Haitian food then it’s bomb but if you do then you know it’s not right
Ordered Uber eats from this place and this is not authentic Haitian food! The rice is old, not jasmine rice. The legumes is bland and beans sauce was watery. Ordered turkey and it’s was very dry I didn’t get pickliz or sauce for the turkey. If you don’t know Haitian food, this place will be bomb. But if you know this place is below expectations.
I was looking for some Haitian food in the area and based off the name Gourmet Creole and a few pictures, I thought ouu fancy! why not. I go there to find out that it’s located inside of a gas station. I should of known because the whole area was very sketchy not because down the street is a penitentiary, but it’s simply the hood. I proceeded to go in thinking I’ll just get my food to go. Once I got in, there were other people smoking in the building. I was like no way! I ended up getting the goat Tasso and turkey Tasso both with fried plantain and black rice. First of all the food didn’t have that steaming look which made me wonder if the food is fresh. The rice was not black enough, I could still see parts of the grain that was still white. They did not use real djon djon in the rice. The both meat was tough to chew, I am to be flossing this goat out my teeth for weeks. The plantain was not crunchy like it was sitting for hours. The portion was very small and I don’t remember Haitian food being that expensive. I paid $50 plus tax and still was hungry afterwards. Long story short, they could do better, no I could do better.
Everything I had from the fried turkey, chicken, black rice, and Mac and cheese. 10 out of 10!
Restaurantji Recommends
Food was 10/10 will be coming back
Ordered and got cold food and don’t think I got the portions I asked for. I called in my order 20 min brides and then waited almost 15 min for the food when I got there. There was no one in line and the lady wasn’t making any other plates. Waiting would be okay but the food was cold. If ima wait for the food at least let it be fresh! I just wasn’t pleased tonight.
Seriously good food authentic Haitian food. The ladies cooking are extremely nice and sweet generous portions sizes for the price
This restaurant is one of the best I ever had seriously ! Whoever the kitchen staff is deserves a huge raise ! Would definitely recommend to anyone ! 5 plus stars if I could . Food was amazing! Presentation was great, food was hot and ready to eat by the time my food got delivered! Thank you 😊
