Had excellent customer service and you can tell they are truly passionate about what they do. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to try the arepa because they were sold out, but I had a bowl with mushrooms, chickpea mash, spinach, rice, and sweet potatoes. The sriracha sauce was really good on top as well.

So so delicious yall. All gluten free and FILING. I got the shroommoo one with sweet potato side and it filled me up completely. Different sauce options to try as well. The owners are so sweet and explained how it’s made and you can just tell how excited they are about it! Lots of seating and good atmosphere - definitely try this out I promise.

If you’re in the market for a true foodie experience, this is the place! From the warm welcome as you walk through the door, to the way they took the time to explain the delightful menu options, it’s really easy to fall in love with Phat Yuca.I had the HellaVegan with a side of sweet potatoes drizzled with the mouthwatering white garlic sauce. Truly an explosion of flavors! The yuca pocket literally melts in your mouth...downright delicious!Between the friendly service, the savory menu and the chill music, this place is a total VIBE!

I think I went to close to closing time so many things were sold out.. which means they are probably really good sometimes. For $18 with tax I got a small arepa stuffed with mushrooms, some avocado, and maybe 2 banana peppers with a small side of beans. .The beans and garlic Sauce was delicious. For my taste and belly, the mushrooms and arepa could have been cooked more.
I’m a Colombian arepa expert, and as soon as we walked in we were received with great costumer service. Their arepas were so good we are definitely coming back and telling all my Colombian friends. I ordered the shredded chicken with avocado and spinach, for my side it was kale. I am highly impressed by Phat Yucca.

First time in and trying arepas and although the taste of the yucca arepas is so unique that some may find it more interesting than delicious, I still enjoyed it. Probably more than the meal I enjoyed the customer service. They were freakishly kind for atlanta service standards. So personal, attentive, & warm….which is probably the basis for my review. They have house made sauces, sandwich freebies, & vegan options.I wished the portions were larger and there was a sign on building because without it you’ll certainly miss it.Overall do recommend

Am I the only one who thinks of Bob’s Burgers when I visit this place? The husband/wife team always find a way to mention the kids. There’s a tangible passion for the food. And there’s seldom a wait even though “Pesto’s” next door is cranking out “jalapeño poppers” to the masses. All they need is an “arepa of the day” board. Now for the food …. It’s delicious!!! And a little different from what you’ll find anywhere else. My wife has celiac and is also vegan. She LOVES a dedicated gluten free facility with plenty of options.

This is a place worth returning to eat at. Having Celiac disease makes traveling and eating out safely quite difficult. I also have a high sensitivity to gluten (my dog has to be gluten free) soI often suffer on trips. My husband looks for places that st least indicate Gluten-free options. Well, this find is a gem. Absolutely no issues after eating here. Full but not the heavy feeling after eating a sandwich and the most deceptive gluten-free macaroni. We will be back.(P.s. owners amd staff being knowledgeable and friendly are just a bonus!)
Dietary restrictions: Gluten-free and dairy free and knowledgeable about how you may enjoy based on texture and flavor. Super helpful
