We ate here and the food was Mediterranean for someone that has never tasted mediterranean food.
The entrees we got were baba ghanoush which tasted like lemon juice and a burrata that was nicely topped with hair (indecent that you get a dish that has not been eaten with hair on it and everyone there thinks it's just our special taste pallet...).
The only decent dish were the Cavatelli while the Melanzane had pasta so overcooked it would make any italian perrson not want to eat pasta again.
The service was nice and pleasurable but didn't come close to overcoming for a very poor food experience.
I sincerelly hope this was only a one-time issue but will ensure we don't have to try it again.

Service was amazing!! The food was exceptional!! This place is right next to me and it was on a whim that I tried it and I couldn’t have been more pleased! Chef, you’re a wizard! And to the owner, great staff you’ve cultivated! Will be back!

Buzzy, fun restaurant. Lots of tile and hard surfaces, so it's noisy, but not so loud you can't enjoy conversation. Comfortable seating, friendly, professional service. Food was excellent. We'll be back.

This is my new favorite Atlanta restaurant. Went here on a Saturday night with my partner. Everything we had was delicious and the service was great. Had a reservation for 9 pm and were seated immediately.

For an appetizer we got the labneh, which was plated beautifully, and I could have eaten a whole loaf of the fresh ciabatta bread it came with. For a main course I had the shrimp bucatini. I could tell they make their own pasta, and it was cooked perfectly. My partner got the salmon, which he said was also cooked perfectly and tasted fresh. Cocktails were also delicious.

Overall it was exactly what I would hope for from a restaurant in its price range. I don’t mind paying $100+ for a meal when it is truly delicious, but unfortunately there are many restaurants in Atlanta with upscale prices and bad food. Kitty Dare is not one of them. Will definitely be back.

TLDR: I would 100% come back for wine and charcuterie and possibly some cheesecake, but I can make these entrees and apps better at home

Came for a member of our dinner club's birthday and got to try several dishes.

Apps were decent. The broccolini + burrata tasted fresh but needed at least a touch of acid and salt. Tunisi Eggplant was lovely. We ordered 2 caesers for the table. The anchovies were phenomenal on the salad.

I ordered a piccolo charcuterie board for myself and my boyfriend. I usually don't order boards because they're upcharged and served with stale bread, nuts, and a lack of condiments. This board (which I read every review beforehand) blows most others out of the water. The meat sourced from Spotted Trotter was top notch per usual. The cheeses were good and plentiful. But the accouterments elevated the charcuterie to a great value. Fried olives, honey comb, bread - all great. The relish? Maybe spice it up and infuse some of that good ole Mediterranean coriander into it. Either way, we made the others jealous they didn't raise their hand when I asked for a charcuterie head count 😂

Sidenote: I found the random 2 pieces of bread with nduja to be strange and unshareable. Would've love more (it's my favorite item from Spotted Trotter) but it's not available as a meat option on the board.

Entrees were... ok. Nothing more. I personally ordered the gnocchi. I liked the addition of crunchy chickpeas to add textural contrast to a usually 1-texture dish, but the lamb ragu felt like it should've simmered on the stove for another 2 hours. It was, as another reviewer put it, sloppy joe-esque.

Shrimp Bucatini was surprisingly bland. I'll note that our whole table asked for salt & lemons for most entrees, but the bucatini needed it the most. I make pasta once a week, usually cacio e pepe, and maybe I'm too pretentious and too good at what I do, but I wouldn't even serve this to my boyfriend if I had made it like this. The bread/pistachio crumbs were too wet and not flavorful. Pasta was a bit dry and stiff-not al dente. Some shrimp were good, some overcooked. All of it heavily improved by squeezing 2 wedges of lemon.

The Crispy Arroz was anything but, though I still enjoyed this one the most. Not sure why it's called "crispy" when it's basically a big jumbalaya soup. Homey and flavorful. No lemon or salt needed! Maybe not worth the price. I also don't see a need for prosciutto in this dish.

I'll give a dessert rundown too since we tried them all:
-Creme Brulee (7/10)
-Knafeh (5/10) - too soggy & syrupy
-Rice Pudding (3/10) - no one at the table liked this except for me & probably because I like weird foods. It's definitely a "weird food". My friend said it tasted like a dessert you would eat on a wooden boat.
-Cheesecake (10/10), no notes/a perfect dessert (and as a cheesecake hater too)
-Fior di Latte gelato (8/10)

I'm on dry January so I skipped ordering drinks and tried around the table. All good, but nothing exceptional. The wines were great, though.

Upon splitting everything, cost came out to about $75 per person, which I think is a good value to have tried all we did, just unfortunate some dishes didn't live up to the hype.

Service was excellent and the vibe was nice, the restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside. We came for brunch and the menu is very limited, but everything we had was good. I had the shakshuoka, sharp tomato, pepper and onion flavors and spices, the eggs were perfectly cooked. I loved the potatoes, crispy covered with cumin and harissa spices. The bacon was delicious. We had an order of toast, homemade bread with butter and preserves, can't go wrong...it was very good! The knafeh was ok, I didn't care for the texture or flavor. I will be back to try the dinner menu.

This restaurant has been on my radar since it opened because The Last Resort was my favorite restaurant in Athens while I was in school at UGA. I was in Atlanta for work this week so I was finally able to try it out. We arrived 15 minutes early for our 7pm reservation and our table wasn’t ready so we went to get a drink at the bar. At 7:10 we went and checked on the table again and they asked for our name again and then said it was ready. Before moving to our table we asked if we needed to close out our tab or if it could be transferred to the table and they told us that it could be transferred. Halfway through our meal our waiter brought us the bill and told us that we left the bar without closing it out as if we may have been drinking and dashing. The only reason this rubbed me the wrong way is because we specifically asked about this before leaving the bar.

For dinner we ordered a bunch of items to share since we knew we wouldn’t be able to come back any time soon. Our waiter was friendly and helpful with suggestions though I feel he could have been more forthcoming about the portion sizes. The portions were absolutely enormous! The half size caesar salad was certainly as large as a full size elsewhere and my Berbere chicken came on top of a veritable mountain of hummus. It felt so wasteful because we couldn’t take anything to go as we were staying in a hotel. I think we would have been less flabbergasted by portion size if we have been able to take our leftovers with us. Our favorite dish of the night was hands down the Tunisi eggplant. It was warm and decadent and I would have been happy eating my chicken with just a side of this eggplant.

At the end of the meal we didn’t have any space for dessert so I cannot speak to that but overall we mostly enjoyed our dinner. We felt meh about the Caesar and felt the fried olives could have used a dipping sauce (possibly tzatziki) but the off menu lamb stew special, the feta fries and the chicken were all very good if a little daunting in size.
