We go to LA Fonda on a regular basis. First time, we were a little disappointed. The service was slow and the black means were somewhat burned. The waiter went back to taste from a pot and told us it was not burnt. It was the cumin. My wife who is a serious cook from the southwest tried them again and said ... yes there was cumin and yes they were burned. Hopefully this is just a one-off.
I've been eating at La Fonda for years and their food is consistently 5/5 at all of their locations (the paella is something special), but the service at this one left something to be desired. We never got our dip, and never had a chance to tell our waiter because we only saw him when he took our order and when he dropped our check. Absolute gem if you’re looking for a cozy, quick, authentic and reasonably priced Latin menu with plenty of menu options and vast outdoor dining. It’s a good choice if you are the only one addicted to Latin food, and want a good option to lure the rest of the family into doing what you want.
