I ordered the Cobb salad without corn or fried green tomatoes (I eat grain free). It came with super fresh avocado, arugula, pulled pork, bbq chicken, cheddar cheese topping, and incredibly tasty pickled red onion. I loved it! I will definitely be coming back for their amazing BBQ

Smoked meat and sides were amazing!!Customer Service was bad, appetizers were lacking, dessert was lacking, and drinks were average at best. It's a shame because it's such an awesome location and the smoked meat and sides is amazing!!

Bottom lined I'd go back!! I enjoyed this small, local eatery!! I had the summer splash cocktail and it was delicious!! I would have gotten another if I wasn't having a quick lunch. I ordered the smoked, whole wings and they were juicy and seasoned nicely. I enjoyed the spicy BBQ sauce and the collards as well. Their collards are made with smoked chicken which is great for those that avoid beef and pork. The ONLY CON I have is there are on combination platters.. I would have liked to try another meat and side!I'd go back

Great BBQ! We started with the fried green tomatoes. So yummy! I enjoyed a brisket sandwich with potato wedges that were seasoned sooo well. Hubby got the rib tips with baked beans and both were flavored with brown sugar. The patio is super nice and great service. Shouts to Jordan who took great care of us. I highly recommend!

Once again out on a KW field trip. Learning the areas/neighborhoods in which we sell in. Finishing off with eating at the Lake & Oak Neighborhood BBQ at Second and Hosea in East Lake Atlanta. Awesome time with our Lendors, Highland Mortgage. Thank you for all you do!From Your Keeping It Real Realtor

It's my first time back after a 1 years & 1/2 at not eating at Lake and Oak. I stop going there because I noticed that the food had become a bit too salty. But today, I thought I would I give it another try. Unfortunately, the ribs were still too salty, and my sides were not as good as they use to be, I had baked beans (with no brisket in the beans, and jalapeño cream corn)which were okay. Overall I was disappointed. City BBQ in Decatur is far better.

Great and delicious food. Lovely staff. Pulled pork was amazingly scrumptious! I had picked okra for the first time

It's a nice place to sit outdoors and enjoy a couple of mojitos. The rib tips are the biggest and toughest that I have even seen or taste. Buy extra sauces because the containers are the smallest that I have ever seen. The ribs and greens were tasty. The fried green tomatoes were too fried. Never again. The devil eggs look better on the website. If you get a take, please check your meat. We had a couple of very burnt pieces mixed in. We would probably not visit this establishment again. But we do hope that they stay in business.

Meat here is good! I do not recommend any of the sides. If you're going to eat here just go for the meat.

A pleasant surprise. We checked online for best BBQ near us & found this highly rated restaurant. The Pork Ribs were amazing. The Coleslaw was really good too. Everyone was super nice & the service was prompt. The cashier bought out a glass of cold ice water to me even though I didn't ask. (So sweet) Hubby had a COLD beer which he loved. We were sitting in the patio waiting for our order. I would highly recommend this BBQ Spot for great BBQ & exceptional service. Selina D. Decatur, GA.

We visited this black owned establishment on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Upon arrival there is ample free parking in the restaurant’s paved parking lot. Once we exited our vehicle, the waitress warmly greeted us outside. When we entered the building the waitress stated we could either sit inside or outside as our choice. The establishment itself was very clean with a down home southern theme. This restaurant actually happens to be right across the street from Hippin’ Hops Brewery which I would love to visit at some point. The restaurant was not crowded at all and there was only a couple of other tables of patrons when we went. We decided to be seated outside since it was a lovely beautiful day. They do have big umbrellas next to the tables which shield patrons from the sun. We were also seated immediately. We were given menus by the very nice waitress named Tish and she took our orders. Tish was very helpful in assisting me in selecting my cocktail beverage and also gave her opinion on the menu items we selected as well. We ordered the following items: That Georgia Peach cocktail, pulled pork queso, brisket patty melt with a fried egg, 4 whole chicken wings with smoke macaroni & cheese, baked beans, potato wedges, Brussels sprouts & cabbage slaw, and an order of whiskey sauce peach cobbler to go. The entrees also came with a side of sauce which we chose the whiskey bbq sauce. My cocktail was the first item to come out and it was sweet and refreshing! I could taste the alcohol, but it did not overwhelm the drink at all. The pulled pork queso came out next and was so delicious. It was cheesy with melt in your mouth tender pork. Also the toast included was crisp and buttery as well. I couldn’t even finish the appetizer so I did take a small bit of the pulled pork queso home to eat with some crackers another day. Not long after our entrees came out including all of the sides. The brisket patty melt was simply delicious! The combination of the crisp Texas toast with the perfectly smoked brisket and fried egg was divine. The slaw was just alright and it definitely needed some salt on it. I wouldn’t recommend that side dish and the waitress really didn’t have much to say about it in general when I asked before ordering. The potato wedges were crisp and fried to perfection. They paired quite well with the bbq sauce, ketchup, or even by themselves since they were so crispy. The waitress did recommend these and so do I. My friend did enjoy their wing plate and ate every bite. I sampled some of their wings and they were quite smoky and delicious especially pairing with the bbq sauce. I did sample some of my baked beans which had a twist with the inclusion of the jalapeño peppers. The baked beans were just like I’m used to cooked southern style and sweet. The waitress also continuously checked on our table throughout our meal. The ambiance at this business is very welcoming and warm by all of the staff we encountered. This is a great place to have a nice lunch solo date or with friends/family and even children. It is located on Memorial Drive, but it is definitely in the nicer part of the area. I saw white children walking home from school and everything. I also used their restroom in the back which was quite clean and decently maintained. As far as the peach cobbler goes, I asked the waitress which dessert she recommend and she stated the pecan pie. I decided to opt for the peach cobbler since I’m not a huge fan of pie and I had already eaten some banana pudding recently on a previous date. I was quite full from this entire meal and I opted to take the leftovers home including the peach cobbler. I ate the peach cobbler that evening later on and it was quite delicious! I paired it with some vanilla ice cream and warmed it in the oven. The dessert had real peaches and crispy edges on top. I greatly enjoyed it and I’m sure their other desserts are pretty good as well. All of the leftovers I had warmed up well in the oven and microwave and I greatly enjoyed it! I would recommend this establishment to everyone in Atlanta.

This was out first time eating at Lake and Oak . All I will say is that the collard greens are going home to meet Jesus... Good. The barbeque ribs are tender and delicious. The baked beans are tasty. My wife loved the brisket hash. The overall experience was great. We ordered takeout, after eating. That's how fantastic the food was.
