We love Lottafruta! Warm personal service. Super local. Super yummy. Super authentic. Highly recommend. Just off beltline and near MLK center. Delicious smoothies grilled cheese and Cuban coffee. And cute stickers! (My only request to them as an opportunity would be to offer unsweetened almond milk as a base - I’d love that and order more smoothies and two other customers also asked for it!)

I’ve been coming to Lotta Frutta for years and usually love it, but today’s experience was unacceptable. We ordered 3 smoothies for $25. One was dropped on the way back to work (which we didn’t expect them to replace, that was on us). But the other 2 smoothies were extremely watery—more like juice than smoothies. The flavor was fine, but the consistency was way off compared to what we usually get (my mom had one just two days ago and it was perfect).
As soon as we walked away and tasted them, we noticed the issue. We couldn’t return right away because of work, but only 15 minutes later I went back with the drinks barely touched to ask for a simple remake. Instead of trying to make it right, the staff refused and told me “customers like them that way.” That’s dismissive and unprofessional—especially to loyal customers who come often and send others here.
It’s not about one bad batch—it’s about the terrible customer service and refusal to acknowledge our experience. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning, and I can no longer recommend this spot.
