The host was very rude as soon as I entered, he expressed that he didn't like the name that I used for my reservation, caused some what of a scene. Does it really matter? I called to ask about parking and was told that the first 2 hours were free only to be told that they no longer validate once inside. The waitress was very professional and the food was amazing. The ambiance was a little grim and the food is pricey for the portions. Thanks to the host I will not return or recommend to any of my associates to dine here. There are many options in Atlanta and I prefer not to be harrased when im trying to eat. The tab was over 750$ for my group. I know that they don't need my business.

I wish that i could have actually rated the restaurant (i was truly looking forward to it) while i waa in town but they closed early. Had planned to have dinner plus an order to go. Would have easily been done by their 10pm closing time.

My mother was in town visiting for the weekend and my sister and I wanted to treat her to dinner. The service and atmosphere was very nice! The food was outstanding!! We had the lobster bites for an appetizer, I had the salmon and my mom and sister had the trout. For sides we had the lobster mac and cheese, garlic mashed potatoes, green beans and the Brussel sprouts. Everything was absolutely delicious. We also had the pleasure of meeting Chef G. Garvin himself. He came over to our table and was the most pleasant, down to earth dude! PLEASE don't sleep on this establishment. Everything was top tier and I highly recommend. I will definitely be back!!!

Our server tonight Neosha was amazing! Pleasant attitude and attentive. We could tell the restaurant is short staffed. But when we heard G Garvin say he would not come to tables to speak/greet bc ā€œhe was eatingā€ we were very taken aback. In any fine dining steak house I patronize, the chef or a manager always comes by to check on the table.
His arrogance and rudeness made me give the rating I gave today. As a first time guest, I did not like the restaurant’s atmosphere. Additionally, we waited 45 minutes for our meals. The rosemary chicken was for 2 at my table, I was the only one who ordered steak; so the wait time while we saw a table of white males eating before us was unacceptable. For $285 for 3 which is reasonable for a steak house, I expected a 5 star experience for ā€œG Gavin.ā€ His attitude was definitely ā€œbiting the hand that feeds him!ā€ If he didn’t want to speak, he should have never been seen by us guests. Overall, I would probably not return for an ā€œexperienceā€

Went to get dinner before the super bowl and they were very welcoming. Zak was very attentive and gave a great breakdown of their menu for us. Our food arrived very quickly and the overall vibe was very comfortable, would definitely dine again for a special occasion.

One of the best restaurants in Atlanta, seriously. Hal’s usually sits as the best steakhouse in most circles but this place can give the food a run for their money! Had the filet, creamed corn, garlic whipped potatoes and the cornbread…do not sleep on the cornbread. Possibly the best I’ve ever had. Service was great, in addition. You should try it and tell everyone- this is the type of spot that should be shared! It’s that good

The ambiance is nice but the food was just okay. I believe there are better restaurants for the price point.

They saved our New Year’s Eve with no reservation we were sat immediately. The server was top notch! It’s a hidden gem that we’re delighted to have found. Our waitress made us one of thee best mocktails. The steak was heavenly. If you’re in the area consider giving this delightful Black owned restaurant a try. It will not disappoint. We’ll be back!

I hate to give what I’d hoped to be one the places that would be ā€œour ownā€ near home spots to continue to make celebratory memories but places like this are way too over priced for folks not to be forewarned to know what your getting into before handing over way too much money for underwhelming food.

The first time we went for our anniversary (a couple of years ago) was amazing… but last night was both disappointing and a waste of precious time that I would’ve rather just spent at home celebrating our 23rd anniversary for the experience we got.

First of all most of the things we wanted to order they were ā€œout ofā€ so we had to settle for second choices…. My salmon was poorly cooked and seasoned… the same for my husbands steak… the temperature for both was way off. The cut that my husband wanted was not available and the server kept trying to push him to order a cut that he didn’t want. The side dishes were underwhelming as well. The drink that I wanted from the bar couldn’t be made because they were out of one of the ingredients… and as if that wasn’t enough; to our shock today we discovered that The server double charged us when I checked our account. Imagine my surprise when I saw that we’d been charged $500 for a poorly made dinner for two.

We will be both disputing the charges with our bank and calling tomorrow to speak to management. I won’t be accepting anything less than a full refund period. I don’t want any gift cards as we will not be returning. And then on top of that we had to pay almost $20 to park in the garage that was ā€œdesignatedā€ parking for the restaurant. Terrible…. TERRIBLE experience for our 23rd wedding anniversary.
