McKendrick's Steak House

Reservation at 8 pm on evening of ice storm. Our party was the only one in the restaurant. We were there until 10:30, excellent food and service. When leaving at 10:30, Learned that the restaurant had closed at 8 and stayed open solely to honor our reservation. Truly above and beyond the call of duty!

Kimberly and Miguel took great care of Us. We come up to Atlanta for Business each year and McKendrick's is our last night of the trip reward. Love the steaks, Scottish Salmon, garlic potatoes, butternut squash, Brussel sprouts, beet salad and the warm bread. Great wine list too!

Mark, our server did a wonderful job taking care of us. Kind of strange that the restaurant is so empty at lunchtime however?

Overall good. The food is not up to the best of standards this place once was. Minor adjustments needed.

Every family celebration is at MCKendricks. Outstanding food and service! Wouldn't go anywhere else!!!

This was a fantastic late business lunch. The place was not crowded and we ate at the bar. Bartender Dave was fantastic and make sure our every need was met. Had a couple of steaks, one fillet and one steak salad and a couple of sides. The one pound lobster tail cut up and fried app was fantastic. Do not miss that.

First time back there after my husband had died. Eight months ago. Was his favorite will still be now one of my favorites. Not only the food but also the service and the recommendation server made.

Great classic steakhouse. Allison is a phenomenal server. Too bad they got rid of bread service at lunch.

McKendricks had been a favorite for many years. Each time it has been a great experience and the food has never disappointed. From the Lemon Drop martinis to the outstanding steaks, it's hard to find a place better than McKendricks!

We have been coming here for 15 years. The service was as always impeccable. Both my wife's filet and my halibut were overcooked and dry. The waiter recognized this and offered to replacement but we had already started dinner and had another engagement. The manager comped our drinks. We had a similar experience the last time we were here. Something is wrong in the kitchen...too bad

We've been dining at McKendricks for almost 30 years and they never disappoint! Food and service are amazing and we love the warm ambience. Highly recommended!

Positive - our server was excellent. Negative - we love good steakhouses. Travel a ton and am always trying to get good steaks. We ordered the 16 oz ribeye and I'd probably give it 1 star. Gave food a little higher rating, because the wild mushroom side was a 4 star. I think I was just expecting a lot more based on reviews I had read online. There are better steaks in Atlanta.

I had a business lunch at McKendrick's Steak House in Dunwoody and it was spot on. The location's perfect — easy to get to right off Ashford Dunwoody, plenty of parking, and ideal for meeting clients in the Perimeter area. Service was quick, professional, and knew how to read the room — attentive without hovering. The steak was cooked exactly right and the sides came out fast, which made it easy to keep the conversation moving. The space has that classic steakhouse feel — quiet enough for real talk, comfortable enough to stay a while. If you're looking for a reliable spot to impress a client or just handle business over a great meal, McKendrick's is an easy yes.
