I came in solo, visiting Atlanta briefly. My father, who recently passed away, used to come here often — business lunches, Friday night dates with my mother, quick drinks at the bar while she was at Spa Sydell. Dinner is always good at MacKendrick's. I had the prime rib which was cooked perfectly and was a very large serving and my partner had the fried shrimp which were colossal shrimp and they were huge. Service is always the best. They have people that have worked there for 16 to 30 years and they know how to take care of you.
It was absolutely amazing as always. I feel bad that the crowd has kind of thinned out as of late. I would love to see the atmosphere more vibrant, just for the long-term survival of the establishment.
