I had the most amazing carrot cake from Metrotainment Bakery in March 2020. However, as of September 2020, it looks like Metrotainment may be out of business (website isn't working, no answer on Facebook page).

I guess they went out of business? No website, no phone working, no social media answer, went to this place and saw nothing there just a dark place. They actually had best chocolate cake I ever had.. too sad.

Hubby and I ordered a 22 inch Grand Marnier Cheesecake for our anniversary. And what did we get? Twelve HUGE slices of Heaven! It was so much we cut some of the slices in half and shared with a dozen friends and family. The carrot cake was incredible and we loved the turtle and strawberry cheesecakes as well. It's off the beaten path, but well worth the trip!!!

A patient brought in a red velvet cake for our office and it was phenomenal!!! The best red velvet cake I’ve ever had in life. I don’t like chocolate cake but I love red velvet. The icing was phenomenal and cake was moist. Will definitely be ordering cakes from Metro Bakery in the future!

I ordered the rainbow cake for a 50th birthday party. Oh my goodness, what can I say! That cake was absolutely DELICIOUS! It was pleasantly surprised despite the reviews. I live quite a ways from Metrotainment Bakery, but I will definitely use them for my next event.
Ordered my last 3 birthday cakes from here in dark chocolate cake with white chocolate frosting and raspberry filling. It is divine. The confluence of flavours really takes it to the next level. It strikes a great balance with sweet and tart! Hope they never change the recipe and always have cupcakes in that flavour to take away so I don't always have to wait for my birthday in may!

We’ve loved our cakes in the past, but made a huge mistake ordering the cannoli cake for a family birthday party. We mistakenly read the description for the cannoli cheesecake, which said nothing about being almond-flavor. There is nothing subtle about the over-powering flavor of almond in the cannoli cake. Not one person in our 30-person family, including sweet-obsessed toddlers could stomach more than a bite.

I am not sure what has happened since the change in ownership/management - a while ago; Maybe some bakers left or something. I have been buying cakes from Metrotainment Bakery since 2014. Let me preface by saying I worked in a bakery, when I was in high school and I still love to make cakes for people and sell them, mostly pound cakes, now. I found Metrotainment Bakery to be a more economical and efficient way to fulfill my orders of layered cakes. I have ordered cakes in advance and have walked-in and bought cakes right out of their display. Years ago when I use to order cakes and /or walk in, I and my customers were always pleased with the quality of the cakes (cake and icing).

I have gone to a baker that is a 52 mile round trip so I decided to try Metrotainment Bakery as a closer option. I went to their website and tried to place an order but was unable to do so and could not figure out why. The date was 11/26. I tried calling the bakery starting at 8 AM when they opened. I got a message telling me to leave my name and number and someone would call me right back. I left a very clear message including my phone number very slowly and clearly. I called numerous times and got the same message over and over. After 9 AM and no return call I decided to drive to the bakery. When I arrived I explained the problem trying to place an order. I was told we are NOT taking any orders online today. I said, it would be nice if the website stated this which it did not. I also mentioned calling and receiving no return call and I was told we are not answering any calls until after Thanksgiving. I mentioned it would be good to change the message explaining messages would not be returned until after Thanksgiving. I asked them what was popular and tasty among their cake offerings. I was told the Key Lime Cake is very good so I purchased a 10" 4 layer Key Lime Cake. At this point it gets really disappointing. The cake itself was tasteless! All the flavor is in the icing which was tasty. The cake was dry and the edges were actually a little crunchy - Over baked - Ugh. Needless to say, I am shocked at all of the good ratings for this bakery. VERY DISAPPOINTING! The cake was $45.74 and I won't be back. Lousy service and lousy cake.
