I've heard a lot about this place and always see long lines. Finally went and was seated fast. It really wasn't all that I hoped it was. First, parking is limited in front, on the side, in the alley and then across the street (not recommended). They have a great selection of vegetarian dishes so this was a plus. I didn't verify though if the rice and beans were free of meat broth/seasoning and lard/grease. I ordered the chille relleno. It was not what I expected...
The food was really good and the service and atmosphere were great. Not your typical Mexican restaurant food, similar but different. Everything was very good. What I read is that it was supposed to be like home cooked food, and I can see the reason.
I've been riding pass this restaurant for years and I decided to go inside and grab something to eat to go. Once inside, we instantly changed our minds and decided to get a table. Great server, the best margarita I've ever had, and the food was delicious, OMG!
