Stopped in for a bite and a couple drinks for a friends bday. The atmosphere is casual and dark and the service was fantastic. We ordered a few different dishes and some drinks including the oysters and steak tartar. While the steak tartar was delicious, the yucca chips were undercooked and scarce. Regarding the oysters, I would suggest you do not order them here. The oysters were tiny and they were served with one slice of lemon. Unfortunately, the kitchen was unable to provide any other toppings for the oysters, including horseradish, despite it being used in the steak tartar. These were some of the saddest oysters I've ever seen. The other food I tasted was pretty good, including the sorbet dessert we ordered. All of the staff I met were friendly and helpful. All in all, a bit pricey for the reality, especially considering the sad oysters.

My favorite late night spot. This place is a true hidden gem. If you have not had the pleasure of dining here you’re truly missing out. From the well thought out and crafted menu to the great drinks and dim lit ambiance it’s amazing. You can literally get off work and still have some place to go to get a great meal and not feel like you’ve totally been left out lol. Check these guys out. Anthony is the best bartender! Go check him out too :)

One of my old late night go to's. Still consistently great. The lobster roll remains top notch although the price has gone up a bit from when I first started getting it over 10 years ago. Always a treat. This time I also had the fried eggplant with garlic and peppers. Really tasty. I always try to get there when they 1st open so the service is always attentive. The vibes are what I expect from a city that's vibrant and growing. Good to still have my off the beaten path, if you know you know, spots.

This place was awesome and I can't wait to come back to try the rest of the menu. It's very much a speakeasy vibe. We sat at the bar pretty easily at 1030ish on a Friday night. We ordered the oysters, scallop tacos, and lobster roll. Everything was great but the scallop tacos were fireeee. If I can stay up that late again, I'm going straight here.

Me and my bestie went there after a concert at the Eastern and the waitress that night definitely answered all my questions sweetly and she even made some great suggestions. I chose the Salt and Pepper shrimp. It was Amazing. I have NEVER eaten sautéed onions but theirs were soooo flavorful I actually for the first time ate some and it was cooked perfectly. the ambiance was super chill, like a place to hang with friends and catch up,The dining room area was dimly light and not too bright while the music was a good jam of songs on the speaker, not too loud which allowed us to really enjoy the food. For a pop up, it wasnt bad. But some additional sides options would be good. So i'll try again.

We would not go back to Octopus for several reasons. We had lunch: mussels were not great, lamb was way overcooked and linguini seafood was ok, but they forgot the shrimp until we were about finished eating. The waitress was very pleasant, however the service was miserably slow. We did not get drinks until the end of our meal and our food came out at separate times. My largest complaint is the PRICE...the lunch noted above and 2 just ok cocktails totaled a lunch tab of $169.87, plus $20.00 to park.in their parking lot. ABSOLUTELY INSANE!!!

Menu is very simple. About 8 entrees with 2 out of stock. enjoyed the salted shrimp, tacos and Connecticut burger which was quite an experience in texture; looked soggy but felt puffy like bao, delicious.Drinks were not too sweet, instead had bold taste profiles The sake juice box was badass

Very much a local dive bar except it has excellent food as well! Crowd seemed like a lot of locals. Took staff a few minutes to discover I had arrived and sat myself but it was very, very late and eventually I was serviced well and cocktail (crazy good NASCAR) and small plate.

The absolute driest shrimp. This shrimp hasn't drank water in 40 days and 40 nights. Head on and shell on and dry.

I found Octopus Bar by accident. I was on my way to another location one evening and I called to make sure their kitchen was open and it was already closed and that establishment recommended Octopus Bar. When I arrived, I didn't realize that valet parking was mandatory. I didn't realize I should have made a reservation and there was no seating available at the bar. The place was definitely a hot spot in the city. It's a hookah bar with a nice vibe. The crowd was a little young for me, but I was still able to eat, enjoy the vibe and leave with a nothing but positive things to say about the Octopus Bar. I ordered the lamb chops and had them served with sautéed spinach and asparagus. They also was served with a side of a sauce for the lamb which was OMG delicious. I will be back for that lamb sometime soon.
