I have been going to Osteria for over a decade. It is by far the best Italian food I have ever eaten. Keith is one of the most amazing servers. I highly suggest the chicken parm with bolognese. It’s so good every time. I have never had a bad meal from here. Definitely recommend.

My wife and I were craving a nice bowl of pasta on our way home from work. So we just decided to try them out. I would say overall everything was OK. The pasta dishes came out hot and were tasty. Our server was ok, As he could’ve been a bit more attentive. Would we go back? Yes. I just wouldn’t rush back

This is our go-to brunch spot for Virginia Highlands. Love love love the veggie benedict, french toast and bottomless mimosas! Osteria is a neighborhood establishment and we've been going here for over 20 years. Our kids were raised going to weekly dinner here and still obsess over the kids mac and cheese even though they're grown. The brunch is a great addition. The owner does a lot for the neighborhood.

I don’t write reviews very often, but my experience here was very disappointing. A group of friends and I showed up for dinner and we were treated like an inconvenience. The waitress was condescending and rude. We ordered wine and she brought us a glass with lipstick on it and then said “the least I can do is open the bottle.” We waited 30 minutes for her to come back to take our food order (after we told her we were ready to order well beforehand) and she had the audacity to tell us the kitchen was closing in 10 minutes. If she would have taken our order when we asked 30 minutes prior that wouldn’t have been an issue. The food was fine but not worth the attitude we received the whole time we were there. My friends and I agreed that we will not be returning.

Reliable upscale Italian. Good service.
I went here with my wife and daughters.
The servers were polite, friendly and on the ball. They made the experience better.
My wife and oldest daughter had the arugula salad which they found yummy. I had the brussel sprouts which was tasty.
My wife and daughter had baked ziti and loved it. Our youngest had the kids spaghetti and meatballs and didn't really care for it. I had trout, which was good.
It was good but didn't have that spark that made it worth the $150 check+tip. We might end up here again, but probably not.
Dietary restrictions: They have a few items for the gluten-free and dairy-free people. Also, they made some mods to accommodate my allergens.

Our food was good and our server was particularly attentive. Can't wait to return and try the lemon ricotta pancakes or the French toast. Overall I liked Osteria 832, the service is quick, the food was pretty good, the portions are large, and it's reasonably priced!

I've often ordered from Osteria, and while sometimes it's hit-or-miss, generally the food is pretty solid. Tonight, I put in a note for extra sauce, and they added a FIVE DOLLAR charge, which has never happened before. And let's be honest here - $5 for a small amount of extra sauce is quite absurd. If this is a new policy/how they treat repeat customers, they just lost one.
In response to owner's comment: there is, in fact, no option on their menu's for extra marsala sauce, unfortunately. This dishonesty in their reply is concerning and, in general, I wish they properly advertised the small amount of extra sauce they provided as being an extra 25% of the entire entree's cost... That's robbery.
Visiting from out of town and found this place. The food was pretty good. I really enjoyed the meatballs. The atmosphere is perfect and was quiet.

We’ve eaten at Osteria since the day they opened and it’s always been wonderful. My kids grew up there and it’s the kind of place the servers know you. And the food is delicious!
