I drove from Decatur this morning to try Park Grounds because they offer vegetarian options. I ordered the Kirkwood Sandwich with veggie sausage on a croissant, and the croissant itself was absolutely perfect. However, the fried egg could have used some basic seasoning like salt and pepper, and I would have preferred a more flavorful cheese choice. While the sandwich was well made, it ultimately lacked flavor.

As someone who’s been vegetarian for 14 years, I know many of us are willing to go out of our way—especially for breakfast—to find good vegetarian food in the city, but it has to deliver on taste. No knock on Park Grounds, but unless the food is better seasoned, I don’t see myself returning.

I love this place. It’s feels like what a homey coffee shop should feel like. It doesn’t try too hard to be cool. It just simply is. It’s my fav place to grab a drink, pastry and chat with my friends. They also have trivia night, and idk what the schedule is but they’ve also had local musicians play. It’s easily becoming my favorite coffee shop.

Google says it is dog friendly but it is really only dog friendly in the outdoor section. This is a good coffee shop, but a heads up for anyone coming with their dog on a cold day.

First time here. Super cozy place and customer service was excellent. You can tell this is a neighborhood coffee shop which I love! Was not hungry so did not order any food but it smelled delicious. Standard coffee selections but the customer service and atmosphere will definitely have me coming back and bringing my appetite with me.😊 Also wouldn't mind hanging out with some alcoholic drinks on a hot afternoon so will have to come back in a few months for that as well when weather warms up again.

Love this place! Hosted my book club here, called ahead to acquire if they have tables that will accommodate a large group, who ever answer the phone was super kind and assured me that they do.

Coffee was good, didn't get any of their breakfast, but was told by members of the club that it was 10/10. will be coming back

Awesome place to chill outdoors with a chai, hot chocolate or a beer. Used to go here to study with headphones.

Awesome place. Great vibe. Yummy espresso, flavors, and food. Chicken Caesar wrap and hummus hit the spot. Artist market in the courtyard/outdoor dining area was lovely. Bought a lino-cut print from Gigi. Such a lovely experience. Was walking the .5k at the Wheelbarrow Festival and hanging out waiting for my hunny to play his gig. It was perfect having ParkGrounds within walking distance from the Lang-Carson park

I love coming to Parkgrounds. The employees are always kind, the food and coffee is always amazing, and the ONE time they messed up my order in my many adventures here, they made it right.

Been waiting 33 minutes for my food and counting. Was told “just a few more minutes” when I asked for an update. This has happened twice now. Will not be returning.

Update: We got our food all of it except a sausage patty was lukewarm. Only 4 other tables at the restaurant were occupied.

Edit/Response: (1) We were not told by the barista that it would take about a half hour. We would have left if so. Maybe there was a miscommunication. (2) I worked in food service and know that the time on the ticket is not always the time the food was served to the customer. If management found the right ticket, it may explain why most of the food tasted like it had been sitting out a while when we got it.

As I mentioned earlier, we will not be returning. I hope future customers don’t have the same experience we did.

This is my spot. Been eating here every weekend for about 12 years. Love that it’s a chill spot that still holds old Reynoldstown charm and hasn’t had a full fancy make over. Food is good and people are great, take a moment and say hi to them 😉. Butler fries an egg just perfect… just enough that the yolk isn’t solid and dry but also isn’t running all over the place. Stop in every Friday after dinner just for my weekly cookie… year after year I have seen some faces come and go, but it always feels kinda like my Cheers where I can walk in and they just know my order.

Yeah the dog park is gone, get over it … humans ruined that for everyone.

Leave your blazers, and loafers at home hold the charm and vibe… these newbies in town classing up the crowd make me uncomfortable 😛

Come in, be a decent human and relax… don’t ruin the vibe for everyone else.

Best breakfast sandwich ever is called the Stovall. I prefer it on biscuit, but croissant and bagel are also delicious options. My go to is the chai tea and the staff is super friendly and nice. They genuinely care about their patrons and my son feels loved every time we go there.

I’ve watched Park Grounds go through the changes of the neighborhood in the 10 years I’ve been here. One thing that is consistent is that this place gives a damn. The service, the food, the atmosphere… it’s all worth returning for. Support local small business, because you are not gonna get this type of vibe with chains and corporate copies.
