This place is horrible I see why the other locations closed down this location need to close down too so unorganized and unprofessional place the order on Monday November the 21st for Thanksgiving went to go pick it up today before at 5:00 and they told me that the food wasn't ready it would be ready at 9:00 go back at 9:30 and the food still wasn't ready just got a refund that's why sometimes even though I'm black you try to support black businesses it doesn't work out as good I give this place less than a year it'll be close too

Everytime I go in this great restaurant, I usually get the Mac & Cheese or rice & broccoli or whatever sides they have (don't eat meat), but it's ALWAYS the best. And that Peach Cobbler!!!!....That's my treat on bad days. Lol. I be so mad at the serving because I want more. Keep it up!!!! No matter which location, Buckhead, downtown, or the one at Chamblee that is no longer there. I love all location.

I am updating my review. Remembered, when I said this was one of my favorite places. Well, I have to take that back. Let's just say new staff & the Mac n cheese was not what it used to be. Didn't feel as welcomed as normal & the food (just wasn't the same). I'll peak in again one day to see if things go back to normal or at least if the vibe is better, but right now?? It's a hard 'NO'
Michelle the manager.. Slammed my food in my face after I ask her why most of the employees got fired due to theft and walked off cussing me out…. Terrible customer service !!! .. No one deserves that treatment! When they didn’t do anything but asked a question!!!

Food is ok. Service is ugh. They list a meal and that comes with 2 sides and cornbread...then when they are out of cornbread they say oh we dont offer anything in place of it because it's free. It's not free! A meal is listed with everything it includes. And if it's listed as such then I'm paying for it. Don't make it conveniently free because you're out of it. Also let me know up front bc then I wouldn't have ordered collard greens. If I hadn't asked they would've never said anything. Transparency goes a long way. Then almost $10 for a cup of cobbler is INSANE.

Love the food there but i just left and the guy in the front is very rude. He seemed to have an attitude problem. I said thank you he didn’t bother to acknowledge me and when I said have a good day he ignored me. It wasn’t busy so there was no reason for it.

Food can be hit or miss. But when it’s good it’s good. They also have weird hours and close early some days. Not sure why.
Great food, very affordable

ALWAYS ASK FOR A RECEIPT, THIS JUST HAPPENED TO ME HERE ON 04 OCTOBER 2025. I visit this restaurant anytime I’m in town as I moved to another state 2 years ago. I recently visited a few hours before my flight back home and had an extremely unfortunate experience. There is a younger guy (very dark complexion with a fake chain on) that works there (I should really be saying a YN) as he rang up myself and sister’s order I saw on the actual screen that my order came up to $59. When it came time for the young guy to input that number into the white handheld card machine he kept fidgeting with it suspiciously in terms of—he checked the screen and input $0.59 then deleted it and input another number and then physically picked up the machine and put that my order was $65.25 and quickly walked away. As soon as I saw that total I looked at my sister and said “he’s definitely overcharging me and that when he comes back I was going to ask for a receipt” (which I never do) but he gave me sketchy vibes and when I got the receipt at the same time as my order we walked out. Something told me to check the receipt and sure enough he stole money by inputting a higher price than what my actual order came up to. For the record, I am military so I always always always tip anywhere I go but the service was so terrible from the young guy and Marcus that I didn’t deem it appropriate to tip which was the only time I visited this restaurant and have not. Not only did they ignore us for 6+ minutes while nobody else was in the restaurant they instead were standing around talking to each other. My sister wanted a pork chop and because you can tell Marcus didn’t want to cook it right then he tried suggesting her stuff that was already prepared on the line. Why would you try to change someone’s food preferences just because you don’t feel like doing your job? I found that unprofessional. And I kept trying to tell the young guy how much I wanted and not to put certain things on my plate but because he was so busy conversing with Marcus, he ignored EVERY THING I TRIED TO SAY. I didn't even get in the car before I checked my banking app to confirm he stole the money because my intuition told me not to and that what I should be paying was the original $59 that was on the screen and my receipt. I put my food in the car came back inside and told them they overcharged me and that’s when the younger guy got defensive saying “no I didn’t” and he called Marcus over. When I showed Marcus that my total on my receipt didn’t match what I actually paid he called a third guy over who assessed the situation and in the midst Marcus got an attitude with me even though I was the one that just got scammed and irritatingly told me to show the other guy what I had just showed him on my banking app and that really pissed me off because y’all got caught don’t think you’re about to talk to me crazy just because y’all got caught up in a scam. Nonetheless the other guy (with a beard and lighter complexion than both the YN and Marcus) saw the over charge and told the YN he did that and the YN kept shaking his head scrunching up his face saying “no I didn’t” and I’m like yes YOU did. Long story short I got my refund of what the YN tried to steal and will never go to that restaurant again if the YN or Marcus are on register or fixing plates. PLEASE ASK FOR A RECEIPT WHEN THOSE TWO GUYS ARE ON THE REGISTER BECAUSE THEY ARE STEALING TIPS IF YOU’RE NOT CAREFUL!!!!!!!!! Always get a receipt. They should really be ashamed of themselves for having this type of scam going on and in my opinion should never be allowed to get back on register, everyone needs a job in this economy so I won’t say they should be fired but that was completely unacceptable!!!!!!!!!!!!!
