Grew up in Arizona. This place is the closest thing to home I can get in ATL. They put their own spin on things, but it is always amazing.

I rode past this spot several times and finally decided to check it out. I walked in with my partner and ordered a quesadilla and vegan refried butternut squash tacos. I also ordered the large salsa, all to go. I received 2 orders of vegan tacos and no quesadilla. The salsa had no sign of tomato or chunk in it, mostly water. This was the worst taco spot I’ve been to in the city plus the worst vegan taco yet. The mushrooms weren’t cooked right, there was a slab of vegan cheese covering that and a pile of pineapple salsa a top. Not worth it!

Poco Loco is the kind of place that makes you remember why local spots matter. The food is flat-out phenomenal — not “good for a taco spot,” not “good for Decatur,” just genuinely excellent food by any standard. But any fool can figure that out pretty quick.
What actually makes Poco special is that Chef Nick, Chef Alex, and team are clearly pouring themselves back into this community. There’s real warmth to this place. The kind you cannot fake. Every order feels like it was made by people who genuinely care about feeding folks. Come for the food, come back for the love they give anyone who walks in the door.

As a fan of the noble breakfast burrito, questing coast to coast to find the perfect cylindrical morning nosh. I can confidently say this is my favorite breakfast burrito outside of the California. Crazy part is I almost consistently am blown away by the Veg option. Conflicted in highly recommending to every person visiting the area, but also wanting to keep this to myself. Estoy un poco loco por Poco Loco!
I have been going to this place for a long time, and I love it! The people are so nice, and their burritos are consistently scrumptious. As a mostly vegetarian person, I really appreciate that they always have a veggie option for the burrito that is just as fun and creative as the meat one!

Let me just say, if this has been on your list for a while, get in your car and go right now!! They are known for their breakfast burritos and for good reason! First bite in makes you wish you had bought a second. While the fillings change weekly, the tortilla itself is incredible and the team working at Poco Loco is so sweet and helpful. An absolute gem for Kirkwood!!
