We were in Atlanta on business with friends. After business it was time for lunch. After some light discussion and dissing of my first suggestion (pizza) we went to Popeye's for fried chicken and sides. It was lunch rush. The place was crowded. Half of the lunch rush was take-out drivers. Our food came soon enough. Besides all the chicken the sides were pretty good, especially the macaroni and cheese. It is almost as good as home made. That, along with endless soft drinks...
From the moment we pulled into the drivethru i knew what was up. There was a crackhead in the parking lot patrolling and glaring because we wouldn't give him anything, the lady taking the order was rude and snippy, they ran out of everything except the most basic chicken legs/thighs and sides but yall know what....the food was absolutely phenomenal. Crispy. Juicy. Deliciousness. Totally worth it.
