Don’t order online!

The food when I was in the restaurant was soooo good! When I ordered what I ate in the restaurant (Basil Chicken) on UberEats, the quality of the dish was night and day. In the restaurant the chicken was tender and saucy- my online orders was soooo dry I would’ve fed it to my dog if I had one. My home cooked meal would’ve been better. When I politely informed the receptionist, she didn’t apologize or have any interest in offering a replacement. She told me that it is that normal for the chicken to be dry if we order it and that it’s dry when she takes it home too.

This let me know that they do not treat their online orders the same way that they treat their in person guests. It’s if they don’t want to waste food so they leave yesterdays left overs for online orders. I didn’t like how they addressed my concern at all. I suggest going to eat here but never order out!!

Beautiful space with multiple insta worthy moments. Drinks superb. Not one bad plate hit our table. Crystal was professional and attentive.

I’ve been eating here for the past seven years. My parents are in town visiting, and I took them to this restaurant last night. I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the basil chicken and there was way too much ground pepper All over the chicken. The Chicken was just covered with black pepper. An unusual amount. My mom does not like anything spicy so she was unable to eat this. In the past when I’ve ordered the Basil chicken there was not that much pepper. took the chicken home that she didn’t eat. The chicken looks black because there’s was so Much pepper on it. I didn’t notice At the restaurant because it’s so dim. Also, the fried rice was way too spicy. I’ve also ordered this before and it’s never been that spicy. My mom was also unable to eat that as well. AC was on blast and way too high To the point where it was uncomfortable and not an enjoyable experience. I would like to also note that we told the waitress that my mom did not like spicy food. She assured us that The food would not be spicy for her and it came out way too spicy anyways. I understand if that request would not have been accommodating, if that was the case then that should have been communicated to us. I’m not sure if the recipe we’re changed Or if there’s a new chef but the food was ehhh.

Extremely disappointed.

Attended Ruby’s with a group of colleagues for a work dinner and, unfortunately, had a pretty shitty experience.

Our server, Alexis, was rude, noticeably inattentive and inconsistent with taking our orders. She also forgot to submit a couple items and instead of owning the mistake, she responded with attitude, which was frustrating.

The food arrived at staggered times, so by the time some of the complimentary items came out, the rest of the meal was already cold. To make matters worse, we were abruptly asked to leave at the end of the meal because “another reservation was coming in.” There was no prior warning or courtesy just a rude and dismissive “you guys need to leave.”

This was a respectful corporate dinner, not a rowdy gathering, and the total bill was over $550 + gratuity! Given the level of service and treatment, it felt extremely unprofessional and unwelcoming.

The restaurant itself was uncomfortably warm, and the staff refused to turn on the air conditioning

All in all, this experience fell far below expectations. Definitely won’t be returning.

The lobster fried rice and scallops were my personal favs. The lychee martini was tasty. Reservations are a must.

At first I was kinda skeptical, BUT

Really great experience & ambiance. Attentive service. Great quality food & well-made drinks. Something different. No sushi nor lo mein type of Asian cuisine. Authentic, secluded -private, contemporary, type of vibe. Very welcoming once inside. Best to make reservations but they accept walk-ins if there's availability. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. The baked seafood dip, shakin beef, & bulgoni was scrumptious. The lychee cocktail was sensational. The lemon drop was also extremely satisfying. I'll definitely return...
Highly recommend!!

First time here celebrating my Mom’s birthday and food was great but service was not. The hostess was very sweet and welcoming, but our server Risa, wasn’t. The food came out very fast and was delicious. Definitely a more shareable plates dining experience, so things will add up, but no complaints! There are also many pretty photo opportunities too! Our server Risa was attentive, but not welcoming at all. I’m not sure if she was having a bad day, but she sure seemed unhappy. She definitely acknowledged my Mom’s birthday and we received a free dessert which was very nice. However, her cold and short personality made this day a little less special.

Had dinner tonight at Ruby Chows. To say I was unimpressed is an understatement. Our server Crystal was abysmal. Absolutely no personality whatsoever. Didn't ask if we'd ever been there. Didn't make any suggestions. None of the staff dropping off the small plates of food told us what the plates were, let alone described anything. Crystal forgot to put in 3 separate dishes. Never once did she ask me if I wanted a drink refill. Best part was we were there on a reservation that clearly stated it was our friends birthday. When she asked if we wanted dessert, my friends mom gave her a wink so as to indicate there was a note on the reservation alerting her of the bday. Clearly, the hostess did not relay that info. Crystal was so clueless she didn't pick up the hint, and the mom had to say at the table, "It's my son's birthday, and it's already been ordered." Completely Completely clueless. Took her like 20 minutes to get us the check following that. I was trying to give my credit card to split the bill, and Crystal made that awkward as well. Seriously, who trained this girl?? Who manages this place? Now that I'm home, I just got a message on venmo from Vaughn Monroe telling me I didn't pay him enough of a tip for valet. How much WAS the valet parking you ask?? Good question. It doesn't say that anywhere, nor did he say how much it was. Did I not pay enough? I have no idea. Horrible experience from beginning till, actually, well after the end. I will say, at least the overpriced food was decent. Also, cute decore, so maybe at least there is that? I would not recommend at all. Seriously, they need to work on basic basic basic service skills.

R Travels (I Hired Me)

I recently dined at Ruby Chow’s and unfortunately, had a mixed experience. The ambiance is beautiful—definitely a spot that impresses visually. However, the food was just average, lacking the flavor or creativity that would make it memorable.

The biggest issue for me was the misleading information about parking. I called ahead and heard on their voicemail that they validate parking. However, after arriving, I learned from the waitress that this isn’t true; apparently, other guests have asked the same question only to be disappointed. This experience made an already average meal feel frustrating, especially given the limited parking options nearby.

In short, while Ruby Chow’s may be visually appealing, it’s not worth the hassle of finding parking, especially when they’re not straightforward about it. I won’t be returning.

Parking: Lied about validating parking!
