Update: Starbucks refunded my wife, so it’s only an issue of wasted time. The coffee here may be great, I can’t tell you. Never received our order. My wife made an order for two coffees on the mobile app at 9 AM. The coffee was to be ready for pick up at 9:45 AM. Arrived at 9:35. No coffee at 9:45. My wife had to leave for a meeting at 10. I stood at Starbucks until 11 AM. Still no coffee.
Coffee was good and the pastries are warmed. At check out they request a tip and watch intently. If it were a restaurant this would perhaps be more appropriate. Otherwise it was a fine visit. The are located on LL(lobby level) inside the Marriott Marquis, just across the atrium from the concierge. There’s more than amble seating but only hotel keyed WiFi. Bathrooms nearby are clean.
This was more of a 4-star experience because I wish they'd put drinks in the correct letter ranges; it was busy and I don't like touching others' drinks, so I missed that my drink was already done. But hey, it tasted great, and I acknowledge that the extra time was on me too.
