Sear Reviews
Lovely restaurant, would've like one or two more entree options but everything we ordered was great! The best part of the evening was the stellar waitstaff! So helpful, so charming and wonderful! Made a simple experience so much better! Thanks!!
Maybe consider having more staff during event weekends? The food was great but the staff seemed stressed and overwhelmed!
We had not been to SEAR for many years, and I guess I was expecting the same upper scale dining experience that it once had. I had made a reservation on Open Table requesting a standard top table, but upon arriving, they had placed my party of 7 at a high top table. They told us in order to get a standard top table we could wait for 2 hours when one would open up. We were not going to do that because people in my party had time commitments. Our server wasn't very friendly or welcoming....read full review

Sear restaurant offers a fantastic dining experience with exquisite food and beautiful interior. The staff are extremely friendly and accommodating, with the staff being lovely. The menu features a range of dishes, including the 1855 steak with onion and garlic, which is beyond delicious. The appetizer crab dip is also a standout. The steak is cooked to perfection, and the whipped Yukon potatoes and glazed carrots are both delicious. The burger was on point. While the restaurant may be difficult to find, it is an excellent option for a special night out. The decor was loved. Due to DragonCon, the menu was minimal, and service was super slow, with a very hard time getting another drink. However, the food and drinks were excellent. The prices seemed a little less, which was nice.
Recent reviews mentioned that for $85, the steak and lobster topping should meet a certain standard. The steak was ordered medium but arrived well, and the lobster was salty. Although the sauce was great and the dish had potential, the long wait to be checked on affected the experience. Some guests would have ordered more drinks if they had been asked sooner, but the delay discouraged them.
Guests loved the ambiance, especially since Sear is conveniently located in the hotel. For dinner, they enjoyed the shrimp scampi and a mocktail, both described as really good. The server was patient and provided exceptional service, with everyone being kind and friendly.
The staff, including Morgan and Sonia, made a 5-day trip memorable while a guest stayed in the hotel for a convention. Every visit was fantastic, and they helped make the experience wonderful. Many look forward to returning next year.
