From the decor to the service to the quality of the food (and the stiffness of the drinks), Trader Vic's Atlanta felt like a Peach State Polynesia. Took my wife and baby on a special getaway date and was impressed with everything. The way they carry on the original Trader Vic's vision into the here and now is a wonderful thing a treasure for the city of Atlanta and anyone staying at the Hilton.
This is the first time I've ever been to Trader Vics Atlanta that a reservation was absolutely needed. The restaurant was full and I was glad to see that. I visited 4 years ago and was fairly certain the place was on its death bed, but things have improved in a big way. The Mai Tai (1944) was spectacular and this was the first time in 9 years I didn't have to send the first one back. We had a painkiller too and it was perfection and was even garnished with nutmeg. This was our first dining experience at Trader Vic's and it was pleasant. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Our server was very nice and knowledgeable and was extremely attentive. Shrimp aka Crispy Prawns and beef Cho Cho apps were great. Overall the atmosphere was great and the restrooms were clean.
