Our experience was ruined by what we were informed was issues with kitchen equipment. I returned my steak and mac and cheese and requested no charge as it was old/cold/disappointing. Our server was amazing. Manager offered us a desert to go and we opted for a pecan treat. He returned with a treat topped with ice cream in a cardboard box. I made my confusion known to our amazing waitress, Mimi and left it on the table. I won't be dining here again. I waited my entire adult life for this experience as a first time visitor, it did not live up to any of my expectations. Who's at fault? I honestly don't that any one was. I do however feel that sitting for 1.5hrs waiting without any communication is unacceptable. It was only after I overheard a conversation with another patron and my inquisition were we told anything. I don't conduct business that way or I would be out of business. That's all. Just communicate to us and allow us to make our own informed opinion. I settled on pork rinds for dinner. Pork rinds. . . .
I love this place! My husband and I really enjoyed our dinner. The views are phenomenal. The sunset painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, creating a breathtaking backdrop for our meal. We couldn't help but take a few photos to capture the moment. The ambiance was perfect, with soft music playing in the background, enhancing the romantic atmosphere. As we sipped our wine, we both agreed that this was one of our best dining experiences yet.
Nothing exceptional here except the view of the city you have. The service was good and they were friendly and attentive. But food is overpriced and nothing you can't find at any other fine dining restaurant for a little more than half the cost. $18 for a Caesar salad with 5 half ears of Romain drizzled with dressing, $88 dollars for a 18oz bone-in Ribeye with no sides, $15 for a single side of truffle mac n cheese, and $9 for a 12 oz bottle of beer. With tax & tip it was $170.00 for one person. Admittedly I knew the prices when I booked here. I just thought the food would have equalled the price or at least been something out of this world. It wasn't. It was just good.
The magnificent views and splendid service are matched by excellent food -- a truly wonderful dining experience!
Delicious. The view and food were worth the investment. Our waiter was fast and engaging. So glad we went!
The steak was Raw we sent it back ..the Mac and cheese was very tasteless we sent it back ..the mash potatoes they substitute was also horrible..the crab cake was too salty ..I would not recommend this place to anyone ...actually I feel like they should refund me that wasted money we spent ...Worst restaurant in Atlanta
Superb evening; view was jaw dropping, the cuisine was mouth watering and the service was excellent!
Loved it, beautiful scenery and the food was delicious. I had the short ribs and butternut squash soup as well as their dessert.
Great staff and views. Really great experience. We would for sure return. The drinks were amazing and the food was good as well.
An absolutely travesty considering what an icon it once was. Called, left messages and filled out the contact forms for weeks to bring a group here. Had to finally get a friend of a friend to get someone to answer the phone for me. Valet was terrible, long lines on a Thursday night. Homeless people sleeping in the lobby. Wait staff was not supported properly, even with the restaurant being less than 1/3 capacity. Food quality was so-so for the price. Dinner service was terribly slow. Request for a cake was lost and no attempt by leadership to apologize. The final insult to injury was what we parked valet for 3 hours and 15 minutes due to long service. Valet would not honor the validation and we had to pay for valet after spending almost $2k on a family gathering meal. The one saving grace was the waiter and desk greeter. Both were absolutely superb and went out of their way to make the experience special. They are the only redeeming attribute to the experience.

1/29/2023. I was visiting from vegas and my friend brought me to this absolutely stunning romantic classy , gorgeous rooftop restaurant & lounge with amazing views , great customer service and amazing food & cocktails ! if you haven’t been you must come!!
Vegetarian options: they can make you something of your liking as well because we did that
Dietary restrictions: they can make the dish any way you need it
Parking: parking is very easy also if you valet or park inside building they will validate your ticket for you !! pretty nice!! : ))

I’ve been traveling for work non-stop, so I’ve been unable to write this review until now, but my significant other and I dined in two weeks ago for a birthday celebration and the whole experience was the subpar at best.
It was our first time at the Sun Dial and we were very excited to experience the amazing views and celebrate a birthday! Earlier that day and on the way to the restaurant, I kept calling to find out if they could provide flowers or something for the table so that when we arrived, there’d already be something nice on the table for us. No one ever picked up the phone and what’s worse is that one of the numbers I called said the line was no longer in service. I called both the numbers on their website and on Google. I knew right then, it was not going to be good. Take it from me, if a restaurant group is not competent enough to ensure their phones are working and being answered, you can bet everything else is going to go as equally as well.
Food:
I ordered the duck as my entree and while the presentation was nice, the portion was the size of two books of matches - barely enough to satiate you at all. Not to mention, all entrees (which you are required to order) are $70+; you’re telling me I spent $70 for a morsel of food?
We all get it- you’re paying for the views- not the drinks, not the food, and certainly not for the service, it all about the views from the top of the Westin. Come to find out later that the bar was closed - I can see why now - they likely got a bad reputation and realized people just wanted to come up for drinks, to see the views, and then go elsewhere for dinner. By closing the bar down, it makes it to where the only way you’ll get in is to spend $70 on a subpar nothing dinner.
Service:
The service was not so great either. Our plates sat at the edge of the table for about twenty minutes just waiting to be pre-bussed. Our server mistakenly charged us for the complimentary birthday dessert and it took about 15min. to get it taken off the bill, he initially provided us with the wrong bill completely, and he and the backup waiter were just not very attentive.
Do yourself a favor- if in the area, go to Ray’s in the City or AG right down the road, because aside from the views, this place doesn’t offer anything in the way of food or service.
Lastly, I’m sure everyone is aware, but it doesn’t even spin anymore.

Ann is fantastic! She made everything for us to have a great dinner, she's charismatic and totally oriented to customers. Excellent food! Excellent wine! Excellent experience!
We had such an amazing time. This was for my daughter's 13th Birthday and her first time at a fancy restaurant. Kinda stinks it doesn't rotate anymore but it is what it is. The last time I was there it rotated and was spectacular. Hope they get it rotating again.
If I could give a higher rating, I would. Every single staff member, loves their job. They were so pleasant and welcoming. I had red snapper and my fiancée had the grouper and clams . The food was freaking delicious. And the view was breathtaking. Definitely will be back
