This is my favorite Indian restaurant. The food is superior, the service magnificent and the atmosphere is inviting.

Tabla is a quaint, upscale Indian restaurant in the heart of Midtown, serving great fare at decent prices. We absolutely loved the Samosas, Truffle Parmesan Naan, and Lamb Rogan Josh. All three of these items were perfectly made and were simply bursting with flavor! The Chef’s Specialty items come in great portion sizes as well. Our orders came out promptly, and one can even see the chefs making the food through a window into the kitchen!

If anything, I was highly disappointed to see that a $7 order of Lacha Paratha only provides one piece of bread. Additionally, our waiter was condescending when we inquired about what select menu items were, which made me feel a bit embarrassed to ask questions.

Overall, though, this is a solid spot to get really nice Indian fare, and I’d be happy to return to try more of their items!

Are you runinng a restaurant or a scam factory??

This experience was unacceptable and reflects poorly on your establishment.

Dinning in (12/12/25)

First, I validated my parking at your facility, yet weeks later I received a $104 violation notice. This is outrageous and suggests serious mismanagement. I had to provide proof (Luckily I didnt delete it) to dispute a charge that should never have occurred.

Second, your inability to accommodate a simple request for a large group is appalling. We reserved for 26 people; a few canceled last minute, yet you showed zero flexibility or courtesy—no discount, no gesture, nothing.

To make matters worse, the food was mediocre, the service was subpar, and the prices were excessive. When customers leave feeling cheated and frustrated, it’s not hospitality—it’s exploitation.

It has been a little delayed prior to my uploading of review, I have noticed changes to menu since attending:

Went to Tabla for my birthday as it was a restaurant I frequently walked by when in midtown. The aroma always smelled pleasant, hence me trying it.

However, when I went in the menu was overpriced and contained daal dishes for over 15 $ and I decided to shy away from those for the value.

The menu at the time had listed duck as options for appetizer and entrees but the waiter informed that they were out of stock and moving away from making duck preparations at the restaurant. I thought it was interesting having an Indian restaurant prepared duck, so my excitement quickly died down. Also I thought it was odd that as an establishment, if they decided to remove the duck from the menu, that they should have given an updated menu , so that customers would not get a false hope.

The fish tasted plain, and the saag paneer was under seasoned as well.

The biryani at first seemed enticing due to having the traditional dough covering to seal in flavor, but upon biting into it , the flavor was underwhelming. I’ve had biryanis from the food sections of supermarkets that I’ve enjoyed much more.

For all the smells of the restaurant, the “fine dining “ experience was not up to par. Next time I want Indian food , I will most likely go to the Decatur areas

The food is just awesome!! Loved the the Parda biryani. Garlic cauliflower was a hit too. Special mention to the cocktails. It was some kind of a margarita and I absolutely loved it. They validate 3 hrs of parking.

Overall, it was not a pleasant experience. The food was well below average, and the wait time for the dishes exceeded 45 minutes.
Specifically, the Dal Bukhara was extremely disappointing, the vegetable biryani tasted more like a bland vegetable pulao, and the Lasooni Cauliflower seemed to be fried cauliflower tossed in pre made sauces, with very poor presentation. The Palak Chaat was excessively oily, and the stuffed mushrooms were just average.
Parking was complimentary. While the service staff was courteous, the overall North Indian food experience was truly disappointing. Not recommended at all for special occasions.

This place is overrated. The food tastes good but potion sizes are very small, atmosphere is not relaxed as there are so many black dressed waiters waiting here and there. We ordered a chicken side dish and it came on a very small black rectangle board and-not appetizing at all. It is not worthwhile to visit here anymore. This was one of our favorite to eat Indian food in Atlanta but not anymore..

We happened on Tabla Restaurant on our way to another restaurant, and I am so glad we decided to try it. I have been going to Indian restaurants for many years, so I have many experiences to compare with. The food was absolutely superb. We enjoyed two lamb curries - Vindaloo and Moilee, both expertly spiced and delicious. Second to none, really. The Naan bread was perfect, too. No wonder it seems to enjoy a strong support from the Indian community.
Our waiter Yatin was very attentive, personable and polite, without ever being intrusive.
The only thing I would have liked different was the lighting in the restaurant. The lights were pretty low, and at our table it was not easy to read the menus, even by the table lamp. I understand that many people like the cosier atmosphere, but personally I would have preferred the dining room to be a little bit more lit up.
That won't stop us from coming back, though!. We live in the outskirts of the city, but if we lived closer, we'd be eating here every week.

We were a party of 12 (including 4 little kids) that came to dine at 8:30pm on a Sunday night. They said last order was 9:15 and restaurant closed at 10:15. We were the only people in the restaurant. Food was good, but service was pretty bad. Whole we were eating the servers kept coming by and taking our plates and the dishes away. At one point there were 8 servers hovering at us. We finished our food & left in less than an hour...record time for such a large group. Our bill was also more than $60/person so for the price so I expected exceptional service.
