A functional bakery serving a variety of soups and a variety of breads. Fresh and delicious.

Oh, wow. Their breads are awesome, & sell out quickly. Best to call ahead & place an order, to be sure of getting what you want. They make some of the best sourdough bread I’ve ever eaten, & hubby raves about the rye bread.I haven’t had their soups, but they must be good too, based on the number of people buying them.TGM also has a booth at the St. Philips/Peachtree Rd Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings—generally March thru Nov.

Went here while pregnant on a hot summer day and asked to purchase water. They had no bottled still water, so I asked to purchase sparkling water. Their system was down so they were only accepting cash and unfortunately, I did not have any. I asked if they could give me a cup of tap water and they said no.

Good burger and fries. The burger was unique with pastrami on it. First time having pastrami. Also tried the poutine. It was very good.

I am from Leesburg , Florida and have been in Atlanta for heart surgery at Emory University Hospital for 6 days have eaten since being released from the hospital this week and have eaten lunch at the General Muir at Emory Point twice since my release from the hospital. The day prior to my surgery, out son brought me matzo ball soup from General Muir, it was sooooo good. The food was excellent and our server, both times, Rachel was superb. The matzo soup and Ruben sandwich are excellent and their cheese cake was creamy and smooth (best I've ever had). I also need to commend my new friend, the manager, Lawrence. He greeted us each time with a smile. When the restaurant was exceptionally busy, he even bused the tables to help the servers. Our next trip to Atlanta will definitely include lunch at The General Muir I'm Emory Point. Thanks for great food and for making us feel like valued customers.

Always a mixed bag going here. Sometimes it takes 5 minutes to get coffee and other times 15-20 minutes while the barista has a chit chat. But you can't beat the bagels.

Great bagels, Reubens, pastrami. Highly recommend. Wait staff are quick and polite. Quick to be seated. Great area. Highly recommend. Also, try the cucumber salad. Soooo good.

I remember being one of those people who believed that I should stay away from bread and pastas. Where that came from? I'll never know. But man, am I glad that I'm over that phase in life because I'm pretty sure I won't ever return to those dark days after having my first loaf from TGM.I've thoroughly enjoyed The General Muir on a number of occasions but only had a sandwich once. So when I ventured over to Grant Park Farmers Market to be a healthy hot girl (of course I used my reusable Yelp tote bag *shameless plug*) and saw TGM, I figured it was a great day to indulge in some freshly baked bread. I already had a bag full of organic produce, what's a bit of bread?!TGM was located towards the back of the market in a large open space. When I approached their tent, the line was full of guests mulling over what bagels they'd pick or which loaves were calling their names. With the goods displayed out on the table, they knew what they were doing to us LOL. That bread smelled and looked so good, I was tempted to ask for a little bite of the bagels the man in front of me just purchased. (Sharing is caring!) When it was my turn, I made the difficult choice of flavors, not going overboard with too much since I know it'd just be for me. I went with the Asiago loaf and what a choice. I love that the TGM team member who packaged my loaf then asked me, "What other treats can I get for you?" Don't try and trap me up, sis! She was so sweet and smooth about it, I almost let my inner greed come out as I really wanted like 5 more loaves just to try them all. My loaf was packaged so well, but not for long. As soon as I got home from the market, I sliced up a little piece... just to be sure all was well of course. Listen. Wow. It was SO good. A delicious crust, soft inside and the nooks and crannies are almost glazed with the butter it was made with. I've enjoyed it with butter, without, as a grilled cheese sandwich, to dip in my hummus and whew. My summer body will not be happy at this new love I have for TGM bread, but summer will get whatever bread body I got!

We had breakfast here and it was amazingly good and tasty. Our server Rachelle was very courteous and attentive, thank you for making this a great experience post our son graduation from Emory.

The food was mostly fine although some if the dishes have traditionally stronger flavours. But what was really disappointing was that they brought main courses when we were half way through the appetisers like no pacing and it was not a busy night. So we ended up up with appetisers and main on the table at the same time. Just didn’t care or didn’t want to care.

Amazing bread! They sell at my local Farmer's Market and I always try my best to swing buy to get a loaf of their multi-grain or white bread. Absolutely delicious for grilled cheese, PB&Js, or even just a morning piece of toast. Highly recommend.

TGM was good. It's a sub shop of The General Muir, I think it's where they bake all of the bread and pastries for the restaurant. It's super simple they have a cash register, one big table and the baking equipment. The menu is simple, there are about 3-4 soups, bread offerings and a small selection of refrigerated items.I ordered the lunch combo which gives you a choice of a 16oz soup and a bread for about $10. The soups sit in a heater and so orders come quick. The flavor was great and fresh, as well as the bread. I would definitely recommend this for a quick, affordable and tasty lunch option. Much better alternative to Panera. It's located near the Emory campus, adjacent to The General Muir restaurant. I though it was the deli at the far right end of the restaurant but it's the store front right next door.

Why does TGM bread mold so quickly???? like less than 7 days??? Other local baked breads last longer???

Disappointing visit to an old favorite. Have always enjoyed the General Muir but this Friday night visit was a bust. Usually excellent friend chicken special was not great. 3 small pieces of chicken-:2 thighs and a leg, undercooked collard greens and good but not special sweet potatoes. The Scottish salmon was served with essentially raw quinoa and sliced cucumber and tomatoes . Dessert was good- pumpkin cheesecake. My coffee was served in cup with lipstick stains from previous patron. Niall our server was great but the meal was not up to their usual standards.
