Food was just OK. We were a bit disappointed with service. We gave our credit card to the server before getting the check and when he brought the CC receipts for signature he didn’t bring the detailed check which was strange. We asked for it and the check included an 18% service fee. We were about to pay a tip before knowing that one was already being charged so we felt deceived. Tabby was in town and in usual Tabby flow she was exploring the atlasobscura website and came across The Consulate. As such, we decided to go.
We had reservations for 06:15 on a Friday. Arriving about 20 minutes early as traffic happened to be light, we were able to be seated early without any issues. Upon entering the restaurant the hallway decor captures your attention as you focus on the selected hues of blue and artwork placement.
