Upscale delicious cuisine at reasonable prices
We have been regular customers for nearly six years, visiting approximately three to four times each month. Unfortunately, over the past year, we have noticed a consistent decline in food quality. Issues have included missing add-ons, burnt rice, undercooked items, and orders not prepared according to the instructions provided.
We have addressed these concerns with our server, and at times the manager, but the only response we have received has been an apology. There has...read full review
Very good food and service. I eat there usually once a week around once a week. Ask for River Lilly; she is an excellent server.

The Orient offers a diverse dining experience with exceptional sushi and hibachi dishes. While the pricing may be considered steep, the fresh fish and skilled hibachi chefs consistently impress customers. The restaurant features a lovely patio and an indoor/outdoor bar area, creating a fine dining atmosphere. Service can be spotty; some guests report excellent, attentive service, while others have experienced long wait times. For example, one customer noted a 10-minute wait before being seated despite the restaurant being mostly empty. They also mentioned a delay in receiving water after being seated, although the food was good, especially the egg foo young. Recent visitors have praised dishes like the Snow White Roll, which features plump, melt-in-your-mouth scallops drizzled with balsamic vinaigrette, and the King Kong Roll, known for its generous amount of meat, though it can be quite heavy. The crispy shrimp and pork rolls are enjoyable starters, and the mocktails receive high praise. The staff, including a bartender named Andrew, is friendly and attentive, enhancing the overall experience. The atmosphere remains inviting, blending elegance with a casual vibe, and the restaurant occasionally offers live music. Though some recent feedback mentions that serving sizes have decreased and certain side options are now extra cost, The Orient continues to be a favorite spot for lovers of Chinese and hibachi cuisine in the Atlanta area, providing a good, if sometimes pricey, dining experience with well-prepared food and a lively atmosphere.
